Why are the explosions so goddamn loud?
My ship is super quiet and when i hit the ground the explosion is like ear bleeding loud
psssssst (my ship)
Oh damn im gonna crash
>hits ground
BOOOOOOOOMBOOMMBOOOOMBOOOOM
EXPLOSION AAAAAA
Just went from Minmus and back with the same craft that went to the Mun and back even had some fuel left acually.

Totally unintended effect. Can anybody explain why it's doing that? I tried it in other designs, but it's not working.
It's something weird with the landing gears being on wings made out several parts. The only way to completely fix it is by placing hem on the main body (can be an issue with landing). You could try adding struts too.
The way I usually get to minmus is the same way I get to the mun. I burn prograde when it rises (when the edge of kerbin, my ship, and minmus are aligned on the map), get my apogee out there, then do the incline in transit.
setup the Kessler stuff but i get this error when the client connects
Error loading part definition for parts\ladder1, skipping: Input length = 1
Error loading part definition for parts\telescopicLadder, skipping: Input length = 1
Error loading part definition for parts\telescopicLadderBay, skipping: Input length = 1
Which is strange because they are stock parts unmodified...
So any ship with these parts will not load.
Anyone got any ideas? the error message is really cryptic and i have compared it to other parts and nothing seems wrong.
I can guess what it is. Its a new part type. Kessler doesn't know what to do with them.
some kind of satellite inspired by something inacio posted. it gets into orbit by itself (nothing is jettisoned)

what does it do? maybe it's some kind of advanced radio telescope? who knows
Which parts pack has those metal struts? They seem really useful.

I always enjoy meeting up with large space stations. the lander & 3rd stage weighs more than the station though, so maybe it isn't that big. It's too slow to hang around though.. the radiators are very taxing on my computer.
that's very, very good looking, gj
meanwhile after i got that in orbit and proved the design works, i deorbited the design candidate and put the real thing in orbit

Anyone got a good moon rover part pack? And something like Unmanned pods that can fit kermins

Did someone say space stations

would you mind uploading the .craft for that? I want to see how you did the angled parts
how the hell do you guys manage to get space stations into orbit?
Im going to try out the orbital construction thing. Going to make a badass space station

Lots of layered staging. [sp]or cheating[/sp]
I need to make a station that unfolds itself
Hi,
You probably noticed there's been some changes done to the development board recently. The board has been split into two child sections for bug reports and suggestions, and you're no longer able to post on the main board.
The reason for that is that, while we are setting up a proper system so we devs can post our progress updates, we're moving things around so that we have a clean board to post official information. A one-stop place where you can find all the official dev talk, without having to sift through pages and pages of threads.
So, I've cleaned out the main dev board now, and moved all the threads that were still here down to the Development Archives. Those threads are now "decommisioned", and just kept there for the sake of posterity.
Keep in mind that this is only a temporary solution, to hold things up while we work on implementing a better system (a completely new forum engine. SMF is just not cutting it anymore for this size of a community). So please bear with us through this transitional period, where things will most likely be a little awkward.
Rest assured though, we are all still here, and working hard at developing KSP and making sure the KSP community has all the infrastructure it needs to thrive.
Cheers
Anyone with an i7 and SLI GTX 680's want to see if they can get this to the sun?
I would do it myself if I could get over 3spf.
You know what, fuck it.
