First Kerbalnaut: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wan_Hu
Someone, please make a firework chair part.
76MN is over 2 times the Saturn V.
still not enough thrust imo
still not enough thrust imo
A few more SRBs couldn't hurt. But seriously, what would need that sort of power!? I get most of my rockets up with maybe 400kN
Orbital rendezvous's arent actually that difficult. Put something into a 120km orbit, launch another into 100km orbit, play catchup, then burn directly away from kerbin until you are going to intersect (the hardest part is estimating where you will) and then circularize once you are close enough. I mean everything isnt too terribly difficult once you get the maneuvers down.

Decided to build an overly powerful rocket and take it around the moons. Well at least some of it headed in the right direction.
anybody know how to replace sounds? I managed to get a new sound for rockets in general but i'm not sure how to get it to work. I've replaced the only rocket sound and nothing happens.. is there a way to do it?
Damn, I gotta say, Nova has been acting much better. http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=17714.msg256805#msg256805 http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=17783.msg257884#msg257884 He used to just have an attitude problem but he changed quite a lot as of late. Reading, replying to (and adding!) suggestions, posting shots of what he's working on, accepting criticism really well. Kudos to him.
And it was my idea!

I know it's not nearly as glorious as all the 100+ rocket rockets which can land on minmus and beyond, but this plucky little jet manages to overall outperform all of my large multi-engined fighters. Mach 3+ and pulls over 12 Gs.

Something I'd like to see in 0.17's planets is more interesting landscapes. Currently we pretty much only have really soft, midly interesting hills. Canyons, immense mountains, rivers, plateaus in extreme altitudes, please?
In the desert planet's deepest canyon, the air pressure is 0.2x that of kerbin, going down to 0.02x at some of the higher mountains. I'm also working on smaller scale detail, but it's kind of difficult to see unless the sun is at a steep angle. Rivers might be possible but it'd difficult.
He is now stranded on the Mun. Alone. I got to stage a rescue mission for the old man. Well, it was my first mun landing. I'm still proud even though I messed up.
I got a single, lone Kerbal stranded in orbit around the Sun. But it's okay! He'll crash land right back into Kerbin in about 5 years.
Kerbal Aerospace Program's latest breakthrough: Sawfish. Stable but very easy to stall. Slim chance of recovery after stalling.

Finally made it to the Mun in .16 [T]http://puu.sh/NMwO[/T]
I realize now that once the finished game comes out, people will look at the memorials for the mk1 pod and the Kraken and be so confused :v:
Several of my craft have had either a glitch or user error. When on the surface of the Mun, or Minimus, I right click to extend the ladders. I've also right clicked to disable fuel flow so I don't accidently take off. Usually no problem, but on two craft I've right clicked on the fuel tank and somehow disconnected that stage as if I pressed spacebar. I have two craft on Minimus that have plenty of fuel to lift off and get home but can't use it because the only part of the craft I have any control over is the CM which is resting on top of the now discarded fuel tank. I did try to rescue these guys by having them walk over to another craft and hang on a ladder. Sadly they rag doll the moment I switch to another kerbal and fall off the ladder. I tried to solve this by building the KSP KERBAL KATCHER what had a "Basket" on top made with a 3m decoupler and 20 or so support struts. This worked well until my first obit manuver... Imagine placing 6 drugged ferrets into a bucket and then swinging it around until the handle on the bucket snaps and the ferrets fall away in a sick limp fashion. (I'd attach pics but, I am somehow retarded and it never works...)
What is all this magical right click stuff you are going on about? Just installed .16 and geez, it is different.
How do you guys get satellites? Mods?
I get a huge FPS drop when Kerbin is on my screen. Like, when I'm taking off, I have to angle to camera straight up, and avoid letting the planet into my vision until I'm in munar orbit. I already have just about all the graphics set to minimum, and I get a nice solid 60 FPS everywhere else, but once I see Kerbin, my PC shits a brick and weeps to itself quietly.
Do you have any GPU overrides on KSP (forced AA), and are your drivers up to date?
Do you have any GPU overrides on KSP (forced AA), and are your drivers up to date?
Nope, and my drivers are up to date according to catalyst control centre, though who the fuck knows with radeon.
Hm, I've seem to run out of things to do: Mun Base Space Station Sun-grazing Satellite Mapping satellites around all bodies Mun/Minmus Rover Wat do?
Planes
Hm, I've seem to run out of things to do: Mun Base Space Station Sun-grazing Satellite Mapping satellites around all bodies Mun/Minmus Rover Wat do?
Get 2 space craft into orbit around the sun in opposite directions, so they crash into each other after a few years.
