I go for 0 degree inclination. that's the polar orbit
Huh, I tried that but it always returned me to the exact same position on the ISA map.

He meant 90 degrees. Go over both poles so that the planet rotating below you allows it to map different longitudes from the same orbit.

Exactly, that was my orbit, so I tried lowering the inclination but that also returned me to the same position. It probably didn't work because of the height of my orbit (200 km I think it was).

Show me the picture of ISA map and your orbit please? I think going through that direction can make a mapping device worked.

My ISA map is almost fully covered after I tried it again with another inclination, and then I accidentally ended the mission. So there's nothing to see.

Dammit... that's awkward now

Is there anywhere else I can get mods while the forums are down?

You could try using google cache
most are on mediafire or what not with a link from the thread
[editline]3rd August 2012[/editline]
huh
forum back up
all threads are still there!
wow!
(i also forgot how ugly default vB is)
Forums appear to be up. For now. Very different looking.
They'll probably be updating for a little while so I would expect it to go down some more.
why do you think the Docking ring is offset? Do they get a forward window from that or something?

So do we have to create new accounts for the forums? I can't log in.
You have to reset your passwords.

Cardboard, I need your help with something. The EVA feature introduced in the latest KSP release requires a hatch to be placed into the model package for the part, sort of like the node collider. The tools needed to do this are released, but I don't have the technical know-how to sort through it all. I was wondering if you had the time to help me out with this.

And me. :v:

The forums are such an eyesore right now.
Fuuuck, I need them to change my account email to my gmail one unless microsoft stops being a bitch and unlocks my hotmail account.
those idiots there think cloudflare has a bad track record (its not great, but its better than nothing0
and they won't strip thread titles from the url (bad idea)
I've had nothing but problems with CloudFlare, and I know people who run large sites who have also had issues with it. And I don't see what the problem is with having the thread title in the URL.

It was causing issues earlier with unicode thread titles.
Might have been something they fixed, but I still think having thread title in URL just doesn't feel right
When Facepunch used to have thread titles in the url it was possible to make threads that the forum links didn't actually work to, and people needed to know how to correct the url to access them.
It's just an all-round terrible idea.
It was nice to be able to know what the thread was before you clicked though...

Unicode itself is a pain in PHP, since it doesn't support it natively, any script that handles Unicode needs to do it itself, or use other libraries. So I'm not surprised if there were issues in that regard (URL parsing and such in browsers all handle Unicode fine, so any issues would be on the server side)
And having the titles in the URL is the "recommended" way to do things, it's easier to remember the title than the numeric thread ID (It's easier to remember "Kerbal Space Program Jebruary Edition" than it is to remember "1160365").
I made a small rocket that deposits little terrestrial outposts:

Mountain outpost decent

Now to experiment with it from orbit.
That feeling you get when a deposited stage is coming straight at you and you miss it by 100 - 150 meters.

We have computers to remember these things for us
Good lord, can't get any mods that have attachment pictures instead of hosted ones because apparently I cannot view them even when logged in on the forums.
goddamn vB
just did my first ever orbital rendezvous
it was hard as shit and probably the most fun I've ever had in this game
I got bored and made a ten second animation in anticipation for planets. :v:

On the topic of fan-made art, here's a short piece of music I wrote for exploring or just chilling in orbit. :v:

This is the kind of music I want to see in KSP.
EDIT:
Jeb decided to investigate the crash of a nearby probe.
