imagine if, in celebration of the curiosity landing, squad released a surprise update that adds the mars-like planet :v:
Our taxpayer dollars did go to making them... The entire program should be open-source.
even if we paid for it, they might of contracted a company to do it.
Eyes on the solar system is made in Unity3D like KSP, Nasa should just give us the models.
Only 2 hours until cruise stage separation. Then I believe its 15 minutes to entry, and after that 7 minutes to landing.

Yea Will-i-am seems to get involved with that kind of sciency stuff. He was on NASA TV for the FRC kickoff as well. And considering that he did it from his home in front of his computer, I dont think he is that sincere in his interest.
This was the year before

Now everyone intently watch for a .17 surprise release.
Curiosity has landed safely on Mars!
Look at mars in all its 64x64 pixel glory!
Edit: 256x256!
I wonder how many NASA people play KSP.
They designed it in KSP
Doesn't quite hold a candle to MSL, but I landed my own Science Lab on Mun as I watched curiosity land.

Pretty fitting right now.
I'd rather attribute it to humanity than just America.
