I'd rather attribute it to humanity than just America.
It's good for all of humanity yeah, but the accomplishment belongs to NASA and JPL
When the new planets come out I must reenact the curiosity mission. Someone should make a set of parts for that
I've been working on a new series of rockets, trying to make them as small and stable as possible.
This is the Renovatio I and it's roughly 12m tall. It has enough power to land on the Mun, then land on Minmus and finally return home.

My favourite part is the fact that the flames are longer than the rocket (and solid jets of fire)

Did you take the models from KSP or redid them manualy ?
Did you take the models from KSP or redid them manualy ?
I took the models that still had the old .dae format from before .15.
No three seater pod for me. :(
Hm... After I got and used KW. I wonder will you make a adaptor shroud for your pack?
For now what I should use as replacement?
Hey guys, I have a little question.
What would you say is the easiest way to get to the moon in vanilla?
The reason i ask for this is because i hit orbit with one of my ships but i hit it so hard that my trajectory is about 2ce as big as the biggest ring on the map.
If you plan on playing this game a bit more scientifically, this video is a great place to start.

The game tells you the parts where made from scrapgarbage. It seems silly for me to use science!

This game prefers for you to relaunch your ship 100000 times before you get it right.
Any good plugins/addons for wheels?

Protip: If you are looking for a specific mod search on the KSP forums, they are all (with few exceptions) posted there.

Which addons do you guys recommend for remaking the MSL mission as best as possible?

Somewhere between 225 trillion meters and here the game reaches it's "limit" and once you load the ship all velocity is lost and on unloading the ship it you are unable to reach it again.

KOSMOS is excellent for making your sky-crane if you want to build the whole thing yourself, otherwise the bigtrack mod does feature a skycrane part for it's rover.
Cart mod is probably the best one for a basic rover however (the link to it on the KSP forum can be found a few posts up ^ (edit:) and below now \/ )

the creator of that mod says that he does have plans to make a full MSL pack.
This is late but I think it needs to be said,
KSP should have an auto pilot.
Not because it's hard to play or because the current controls are hard for some to use, but because KSP a game. As such it should be enjoyed by as many people as possible. My 9 year old nephew loves this game. Granted he's killed more Kerbals than an evil dictator, but he's having fun. He was losing intrest until I came over and taught him how to fly. I put mechjeb on for him and that makes all the difference when I'm not around.
Having the option for an autopilot doesn't weaken the game. You can still play without it. Before you toot your horn about being a hot shot pilot, why not stop using the other things that make playing the game "easy."
Stop using that time warp.
After all, if you really want to be like a real astronaut you should wait three days before you try and land manually. In fact put on your pajamas and wait in your dryer on Low Spin too. Maybe only eat dried fruits. Oh and drink lots of Tang. And when you have to pee, put it in a zip lock bag and keep it next to you until after you splash down back on Kerbin.
OR, stop being silly and enjoy the game however you like.
Now, if you will excuse me, I'm going to go do an EVA while wearing a fishbowl over my head.

I knew MRO was passing over the landing site at roughly the time of the parachute descent and hoped it would snap a picture.

pack is cool but anyone know how to stop the top cone thing from freaking out and ripping off parts? it ripped off some rcs on the crane and the top liquid fuel engine.

Forgive me, but I have little clue which direction that is.
