I want to mess up my reentry and be able to see my crew get burned alive.
"ah, this angle is a bit steep but everything should be cool"
WOOSH
"EAYGH EAAAHHHH"
Then everything vaporizes.
Lander finally on the mun

With much fuel left over
Those angled engines also make landing extremely easy
I thought the number was 140 out of 400 or something like that
what units is that?
My Mun rescue mission ended with the rescue target dieing, and the rescue craft tipping over with not enough fuel left.
Damn it all.

I used the newest curiosity images to get a 3D view of mars.

For those of you who don't know, go cross eyed, until the two dots form a third one in the middle then look up or down at the pictures to see it in 3D.
Did you use two images taken in order or did you do some silly photoshop doohickery that doesn't work at all?
Did you use two images taken in order or did you do some silly photoshop doohickery that doesn't work at all?
They were taken with the left and right navcams on the rover. I only added some color because they were black and white.
So I'm trying out Mechjeb, why won't my pod decoupler let a fuel tank be attached to it? What am I doing wrong?
C'mon guys please give me a pointer in the right direction
C'mon guys please give me a pointer in the right direction
which mechjeb part are you using? the 0.5m, 1m, radial, pod, or the radio-looking one? You need to be more specific

The pod command module and the pod decoupler part
Damned robotics parts seem to get massively irate when used in space.

It starting spinning widly and tore itself to peices.
There is umbrella everywhere oh god.
yeah seems like other people, myself included, have that issue. i haven't had them rip apart but they freak out and make my rocket uncontrollable and won't stop freaking out
what a shame you went through all that effort to make the umbrella though
They were taken with the left and right navcams on the rover. I only added some color because they were black and white.
I wish there was a rating for "good idea but all it did was make my eyes hurt."

Well I just got to the mun, as long as you don't open your umbrella in space its fine.

I really wish I could fill the gaps with some sort of translucent plastic.

Why is this guy getting dumb ratings?
That's awesome.

Fun fact: Curiosity will be able to take actual 3D images with it's duel Navcams.

These are pictures from the navcams. I just don't have 3D glasses so I had to improvise. I'm guessing it's not that hard to combine these images into anaglyph images, viewable with 3D glasses.
Edit:
Technically, this should be viewable with red-cyan glasses. But like I said, I can't really test it.
Well I just got to the mun, as long as you don't open your umbrella in space its fine.
1 ) i didn't make an umbrella... well i was trying to make a space station i would put in orbit and then unfold when it got up there
2) i don't move any of the parts or anything and they wobble and shit when you leave the atmosphere :(
Yea I tried to have a damned robotics docking arm on my station, and it ended up freaking out and spinning wildly. Damned robotics doesnt like microgravity.
Oh and btw, the Mars Descent Imager took video as well

I have red/cyan glasses, that one works, it is pretty awesome
I have a 3D TV... I should try this later.
KSP Wish List (like stuff I want to see in the finished product):
1) Personal Parachutes. (or, an air bag that turns my Kerbal into a 4m marshmallow and saves his ass)
2) Stats and Achievments. Such as % of [Planet name] explored, number of kerbals turned to dust, awards for consecutive safe landings, and something that tells you when you've pressed the space bar 1000, 10000, and 100000 times.
3) Random Kerbal Fuck ups. I.E. Bob, while screaming, hits a button and all the power goes out until Jeb hits the button a second time. Happens less than 1% of the time but keeps things interesting after 100 flights with mechjeb.
4) The option to have a tiny grave stone every place a Kerbal has died. I say option because if you are like me, your launch pad would be tiles of grave stones.
5) Once you reach a certain point in the game, a "Save the world" mission pops up. A comet or asteroid is going to hit Kerbin and you need to Bruce Willis that thing out of there. Fail, and start over because Kerbin is done. Or if you've got a working moon base you could keep going. Or a space habitat. This is KSP "End Game" if you will. (no pun intended.) EDIT: This is a toggle that you click basically saying, "Go ahead, make my day."

Actually read the text on the screen and see I have to reset my password due to forum change.
Use the reset form, get new password. Accidentally use wrong email again

Attempt 4 of 5
So confused now, that I try it one more time. Invalid password.

I hate login forms, that's why I hang around facepunch. Apparently I have a username as well as an email, maybe I should be using that.
I just want some mods. Why is that too much to ask?
1) Personal Parachutes. (or, an air bag that turns my Kerbal into a 4m marshmallow and saves his ass)
This should be in, but in the final game I think they should have a small but significant cost, same with EVA packs/fuel.

Stats are fine, but achievements aren't really needed, as the game itself gives a pretty good feeling of having accomplished something great. If there are achievements, I'd prefer them to not be of the "Do X a million times" variety. Those are just repetitive grinding, while ones more like "complete an orbit of the Mun that goes through the arch" would be something fun to reward.
Random mistakes would be fine with me if it's like BARIS, where parts aren't that reliable until you've researched them (or in the case of random crew failures, trained them) to a certain point.
