It sucks. It's VERY low, making it tough to land on without flying away or just floating in place above the surface.
I find that it makes it way easier to land. Less fuel required. It's getting into its SoI that's the tough part. It's tiny and on an inclined orbit.
KSP really needs to have some sort of control map so we find out about stuff like quick save and quick load sooner
It sucks. It's VERY low, making it tough to land on without flying away or just floating in place above the surface.
What do you mean? Now I can rescue those poor kerbals in that small ship. It doesn't have enough fuel, and they've been stuck here for years... :(
Turns out the purple marker does point to the KSC just...the wrong one That lonely white pixel is the second KSC Looks like it would look more impressive visually to launch from there. [editline]11th August 2012[/editline] Funfact : that last sliver of fuel really was all I had left, having accidentally the connections on the last two.
I seem to remember something about fixing missing shadows in KSP, I just started having this issue and I was wondering if anyone knew how to resolve it?
Why is there a second KSC?
Anyone ever made it to the north pole with a plane?
I almost want to de-orbit this thing just to watch it fall apart. I can't wait to rendezvous with this, it is inclined 50 degrees so it will be a nice challenge. space stations are fun to build, once docking is possible it will be even more fun.
KurtJmac has I do believe
Anyone ever made it to the north pole with a plane?
yeah, though it's much easier to get there with turbojet engines.

i want re-entry heat now. Get big things into orbit, put it into a orbit that slowly detereorates and then take bets on where it will fall. its that taco bell promotion for mir all over again!
Does anyone think you got what it takes to put this beast in orbit?
i can't believe that thing is actually holding itself up
spoiler: it's not :v: [editline]11th August 2012[/editline] to put it in perspective it takes 2 minutes for the game to go from the VAB to the scene, hangs at that phase where the camera is pointed at the ground for another minute, then shows the ship, stays at that for 2 more minutes, which is when i took the shot
how long did it take to become a nice large fireball?
Well I'll be, I actually managed to land this thing on the Mun. Didn't think these ion engines would be anywhere near powerful enough. Hmm, these landing legs aren't strong enough though. One of my engines just dropped off. [editline]11th August 2012[/editline] This ain't good...
I just got this little guy into Solar orbit, and soon it'll be on escape trajectory. Don't worry, it's unmanned.

"To the mun" and further! A shot of Kerbin Is that... The Arch!? Finally! I meet you. I found that I land my rover just 40km away from the arch. The new one looks much better.
Yeah, but it's not like it's a super simple kindergarten game. It has realistic physics, so why not also chemistry. Also, can anyone explain to me where does this "it's made out of trash cans and paper mache held together by hopes and dreams" thing come from?
From the first few versions where all the parts either came from a scrap yard or were found by the side of the road.
Hey, Giantbomb did a quick look on Kerbal Space Program. Thought you guys would be interested.
quick look 1 hour video
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=gRBILiwM01g A little something I threw together to celebrate winning the race to the moon between me and a friend of mine. This is after numerous failed landings where the rocket would fall over due to horizontal drift. Edit: Media tags, how do they work?
The physics are really wonky but it works:
All these people doing successful mun landings. Whenever I try to land on the mun, I always end up slamming into the surface at +300 m/s, or screwing up and destroying all but the landing pod, leaving me stranded.

Can wootmonster fix all the KSP forum links in the OP
