Looking at these images from curiosity, the surface of mars doesnt look as... hostile, or alien as one might expect, like the moon does.
Well technically you could walk around with just an oxygen mask and a nice lead coat on a good day. According to Wikipedia the Martian surface temperatures vary from lows of about −143 °C (−225 °F) (at the winter polar caps)[8] to highs of up to 35 °C (95 °F) (in equatorial summer).
Radiation would be a problem though. If only it had a strong magnetic field. That's why it's such an incredible planet. It's so... close to home.

it was probably a really nice place at one stage when it still had a magnetic field :(

we were only a couple of billion years late
Guys I have an idea
We take ALL the buckyballs on Earth and put them on Mars
Magnetic field = restored
Anyone know how high/fast you need to go to escape Kerbol's SOI?
Depending on the size of your rocket it can vary as to when it trips the leaving kerbol's SOI rail but it is between 22,000m/s and 26,000m/s. I am in the process of designing a new ship to hopefully reach manageable speeds for deep space exploration.
So far I have found that the gravity from Kerbol stops pulling on your rocket (or at least becomes so small its negligible) at around 108 trillion kilometres which was discovered by the late Elipsis III deep space probe that was consumed by the Spaceasaurus Rex not long after.

I doubt it... it has hundred times less pressure than earths atmosphere.

Also, If those RCS were used where exactly would you place the Landing engines? :P
they fit oddly here. even then they have the weird RCS 0_O

you're right. I forgot about the pressure difference. That might be a problem.
I somehow was able to do a stable orbit around the sun with a random rocket that is nothing but solid fuel rockets and about 3 stages.

You would become a balloonman.
What addons to download?
Rated dumb for name, not post.
Are there any plugins that measure distance to the ground?
I should probably mention that in the absence of such plugins you can use the floodlights mod to shine lights on the ground and judge your distance by how large and bright the lights are.
at first I was like:

droptanks and central stack are full of fuel

that can be solved without using those big and bulky EVA suits though.
I wish we could have fuel stations. I'd stick one halfway between the Mun and Kerbin and try and refuel there, although doing that would probably be more fuel expensive with the rendezvous then just going straight Munwards :v:
Remember, things orbit. So you would have to camp out at the station while it's at the correct orbit again, but halfway shouldn't take that long.

What are the triple things coming out of the rockets?
inflatable station modules from BASE construction pack
inflatable station modules from BASE construction pack
how do I miss all these cool mods... Need to go find that one.
So I downloaded this mod: http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/showthread.php/4110-RocktCo-Industries-Munar-Institute-of-Technology-Soyuz-and-Kerbabl-lander-v1
But half the fucking parts aren't showing up. What the hell?
The caps lock key which toggles between smooth and not smooth reactions is now my self destruct button. Why? Well I decided to turn it on while I was in the troposphere and everything when boom.
They are now forcing everyone to pick a licence out of thin air to stay on the forums if you are posting about your mod. Its all a panic over some peoples stuff getting "stolen".
I already bitched saying unless Squad explains how they want licencing done then it will just be a massive clusterfuck.
What do you mean?

Now I can rescue those poor kerbals in that small ship. It doesn't have enough fuel, and they've been stuck here for years... :(
I've been looking around for a while and I can't seem to find many of the parts you use here, mainly the satellite dishes and the struts. Could I ask what packs they are from?

What do you think they would do if I didn't get one because I simply don't give a fuck if someone steals some of my ideas?
Also, source?
Any good parts with adapters/fairings?
OK, what addons should I download for KSP?
Give me suggestions

Have a look at the list in the OP, they are all good.

Mechanical Mouse and the Truss Pack.
It was launched with all stock parts.
