Okay, so, before noticing this on the banner at the top of my page, I didn't give a flying fuck about what this all started about. The whole "WTFLicense" is obviously just trolling, and Creative Commons is super simple. If they want to require licenses, there's nothing wrong with that.
That said, [I][B]this fucking moderator just made a locked announcement thread backing up the idea that you are not allowed to criticize him[/B].[/I] Maybe all the criticism he's receiving isn't because he's "the public face of the moderator team" and instead is because he's a shitty moderator. It's not that the rules he's enforcing are shit, but [B][I]if he can't take half an ounce of criticism over a new rule some people don't like, he needs to stop fucking moderating.

I had a small chat with Damion and my earlier post is still valid. He made a thread with a quote from Harvester inside it which kinda seals the deal, simply follow their rules on their forums and there won't be any trouble:

I'm sure you've all visited other forums like KSP in the past. All this is simply down to laziness. They only work with sweeping blanket rules so that they don't have to spend time justifying things or using common sense. If they had to justify their actions to standard users, then they'll lose their respect and control. (although in fact, they'd be more respected if they took criticism publicly)
I've seen the same kind of behaviour on a forum that I used to moderate. The lead mod there was really insecure and thought he needed to maintain an image of being a supreme being. It all went to shit when he made a pretty obvious mistake in a thread and somebody pointed it out. He instantly banned the guy and fixed his mistake. A lesser mod went in and said that it was unfair, so he de-modded him.
I don't know all the details, but I'm told that he ended up deleting the thread and banning everybody who posted in it, including 2 mods. It was only a small programming forum, so I think something like 1/4 of the forum was banned and loads of others found out about the incident and left. All because he didn't want people knowing that he'd made an error.
KSPf isn't as bad as that, but I'm sure it's the same kind of situation.

Wasn't the problem earlier about stolen content, and now he has "most fundamental rule is that you must seek permission to alter someone's work, to mirror it or use it in any way other than for personal use" followed by sections lifted directly from other forum's rules? To go so far as not even bothering to change the links from the Orbiter forum to the corresponding KSP forums page?
