What I want to know about calculators is why they can't handle any more than 69!. I put 70! and they say no way jose.
If you're putting in X*10^70, then maybe the calculator simply cannot cope with a number that big, like how pac-man couldn't go over level 255 because it couldn't count to 156.
When We Left Earth is marathoning on the Science Channel. I am happy

because 70! is 10^100
those calculators only support exponents < 100
Just tried the new Novapunch pack, pretty good. The NERVA boosters look great, and provide excellent acceleration with a 50 tonne tank +30t payload (0.63g - 1.2 near burnout I think, I'd have to work it out.. there is little use until the planets come around)

though, I am now stuck in interplanetary orbit near kerbin.. I cannot use SAS or Mechjeb stabilization, what's the matter? I have plenty of RCS thrusters but it refuses to stay on the correct heading. Is this the "kraken" or whatever they call it?

am i doing this right
Yes
Is this the "kraken" or whatever they call it?
How fast are you actually going?
How fast are you actually going?
9km/s , similar to Kerbin's orbital velocity at least. It works fine in kerbin orbit though, so it's something to do with being outside kerbin's SOI

I gotta find one that can do it. Even a TI-84 plus says no.

I think the TI-Nspire can do it.
thats it. i give up on posting on ksp forums forever.
Awesome trees!
might we also see more variation in the terrain colours of kerbin? It'd be really sweet to see some deserts or something?
Ugh. Every time I try to put this satellite in orbit, something goes wrong. Last time the game refused to launch. This time one of the debris pieces got glitched when I warped home.
I wonder if it is possible to make this
Stage 1

Stage 2

Final stage

It seems WAY too large and WAY laggy to me
Good luck, if any of you are going to try it
that would require making new parts teol
Making a scale model of it would possibly work
I seem to have somehow broken the game. Now I have infinite fuel...cool...

Debug mode?
Do you enter debug mode by staging your rocket? Because if so, that seems like a massive oversight on Squad's part.

What'd be really cool is yeah, if you could make a shuttle with a deployable bay.
But I've personally never gotten piggyback shuttles to work without the whole thing flipping out in the direction the shuttle is mounted.

I think part of the trick is the Shuttle's own engines are running as it ascends and it already lifts major part of it's own weight, the rockets mainly hauling the fuel it needs to get to orbit, the shuttle sucking it it out of it on the go.
[editline]6th September 2012[/editline]
I mean, the thrust/weight ratio of both the shuttle and the carrier rocket should probably be vaguely balanced.
[editline]6th September 2012[/editline]
I just tried and got something that would have worked amazingly, but ran into the problem that it always takes fuel from the wrong tanks (the shuttle's own fuel tanks instead of the carrier tank).
Is there any complex fuel management plugin, yet?
Are anyone else having problems using the patcher?
I just get an error every time. :/

Did you check your login info?
Also brb decompiling to edit in hex editor and submerge in ice cold water
Did you check your login info?
Yes, I checked it first by logging into the store, then I checked it again by changing my password and using the new one.
I've also tried going to the address in my web browser (http://updates.nexisonline.net/), and that works fine, so I don't think it's a network issue, but what the fuck do I know. :v:
Huzzah!
The Deep Space Mission pack by Kockaspiton is the first mod to reach 1000 downloads :D
http://www.kerbal.net/mod.php?id=4
We are also getting really close to 2,000 downloads (1,986, and yes that means deep space mission pack is over 50% of the total downloads, just wait till KOSMOS is on there :P)

It seems like that should just be a matter of staging or disabling flow on the shuttle tanks.
EDIT: I had a shuttle I was making that was having the falling onto the shuttle side problem. I'm going to see if I can get it working like you were.

Because most calculators can't handle more than 1*10^100
