I found some artwork on a Threadless t-shirt depicting Jeb slaying the space Kraken:

is there any good parachute mods out there? I'm looking for something like, a chute that deploys at high heights (around 10000m) and that doesn't have as much deployed drag.
I decided I should go and use that mapping plugin once.

This needs a third satelite :v:

If you killed "horizontal" movement on the satellite in polar orbit, wouldn't you get better results? It looks like it's keeping pace with the ground movement.
anyone know how to fix this? it happens with the patcher too.

This might sound a little silly, but try closing your browser then open the game.

I think that's it. I remember something about solar panels that work for it.

yep. render out the normal map bakes then shrink them in photoshop. Photoshop is better at shrinking images were as 3ds max likes to make things blurry and staircasie.

Ah, I see.. I remember I had the exact same problem with this model of a fountain I made a few years ago, was rather annoying. I thought they had optimized it by now.

Good luck connecting it to anything :v:
Eh, I want to get back into Kerbal Space Program and create my own little adventure, but I can't be assed knowing that 0.17 is coming out sometime in the future and my save would probably be wiped.

Rendezvous, "docking" with landing legs, and editing the presistence file. Pfft. Easy! :v:
Kerbalnet has just hit 5,000 downloads :D
here is some other infomations

We have finished moving hosts and we have a bunch of 1 Gbps mirrors at our disposal now so downloads speeds will have increased massively if your outside of the AP region and should be increasing again soon enough.
Additionally anybody with a mod page can finally upload additional images to their page which are added straight into the image slider (so long as the image is a png).

Todays image text was: 20 ballons float away while I'm busy permanently tying one to a tree to deal with it for good. Unfortunately, that balloon was "Land a rocket on the moon in Kerbal Space Program."
Illustrates ADD very good in my opinion and is relevant to KSP ... somewhat.
Holy fuck I just can't wait anymore
I say we storm Squad HQ who's with me.

I am getting way to excited over this.
As in, I'm starting to wonder what affect this will have on my sex life.
Me: "Here, put this on first."
Wife: "Ugh... This makes me look like a planet!"
Me: "Exactly! Now, rotate. Slowly..."
Wife: "Wait, where are you going?"
Me: "Next door. I have to jump off the roof, hit the trampoline and then fly through the window."
Wife: "Why?"
Me: *Sigh* "Because I have to 'launch', now be quiet. Planets don't talk."

I'll bet she's so fat you can even orbit around her.
Sorry that was rude

Don't go in too fast or be too shallow; you'll get an escape trajectory right away

* Internal Cockpit Views: The first iteration of the IVAs (Intra-Vehicular Activities) feature set.
Assigned to: Mu, C7
Status: Under Development
* Multiple Player Saves: You can now have multiple ongoing game sessions, as each save is kept in its own folder (instead of all using the saves/default one).
Assigned to: HarvesteR
Status: Complete
* Quick Flight Scenarios: Start flights from pre-set conditions, without interfering with your persistent sandbox save, and also save your own scenarios from your main game.
Assigned to: HarvesteR
Status: Implemented, missing scenario saving.
* Scenario Logic Modules: Like PartModules, but for scene logic (and defined on an SFS file instead of a part.cfg).

Assigned to: HarvesteR, Nova
Status: Under Development
* Center of mass, thrust, lift and drag visual cues on the construction scenes.
Assigned to: HarvesteR
Status: CoM, CoT and CoL added.
* Prebuilt ships included with the game, as examples and possible starting points.

Bug Fixes and Tweaks:
* Krakensbane: A solution to the 'Space Kraken' issue
* Many bugs fixed on the fuel flow system.
