that stuff cant be yours theyre textured [editline]17th September 2012[/editline] :v:
I just took the existing game textures and slice and diced them till they looked good. That I can do :) anyway so all those wanting RD-170 looking engines... no time getting it flying before work but... Also, the new VA lockdown till have an animated Umbilical thanks to kreuzung.

Hurah! I fixed the fuel lines on my mini-shuttle Now to see if this thing gets into orbit. [editline]17th September 2012[/editline] Also, just now I realised that you can just rotate the entire rocket to make it face your desired direction right from the start instead of having to turn it in flight using the new VAB features. [editline]17th September 2012[/editline] Ha, the 2m engine is too powerful :v:, at some point, when the fuel in the big tank starts running low it tilts towards the plane because it has become unbalanced. Time to use a smaller engine then. [editline]17th September 2012[/editline] It still gets unbalanced a lot all of a sudden just above 30 km... I guess because that's about the limit of where flaps work.
Fucking fantastic, great job KOSMOS team. No issues to report so far.. everything seems to work fine. The ejection force on the payload fairings could be upped a bit though. edit: good separation visuals too
I landed as close to mun's northpole as possible.
Even though I had to jettison both the SRB's and the fuel tank before they got used up completely... The mission succeeded! The lite shuttle is in orbit!
They look nice and all but will not that many polygons lag like shit if you have like 10 engines?
they are less polys than the original kosmos engines. so if you could do those these are nothing. [editline]17th September 2012[/editline]
Fucking fantastic, great job KOSMOS team.
yes Sega's redon balancing is much better than the day's before.
[insane]
All the engines being the same height is really nice :D
are you guys friends again? i don't like seeing mommy and daddy fight :(
now deorbit
Okay, I still got enough fuel left anyways :v: [editline]18th September 2012[/editline] Getting near KSC Overshot it a bit. Deploy landing gear. Rear wheels almost hit the ground. And landed! This is actually the first time I landed something that reached orbit back at KSC :v:
i tried doing something in lieu of that virgin galactic thing although it doesn't quite get the glider into orbit, it got to an Ap of about 65k, so it totally could with a few tweaks i landed on the next continent but the wheels sunk into the ground and brave ostwald only just made it out alive
Cool. Why all those decouplers/docking targets stacked on one another?
because hogdriver has not put them all in one yet. Developed each component seperatly. he is combining them for the next release. Also, started working on the model. But also doing other project for non KSP stuff since it is piicking up again. so might be some time before anything comes of it :/
Can anyone here tell me why my lunar lander falls apart when I try to decouple it?
Can anyone here tell me why my lunar lander falls apart when I try to decouple it?
Try with different decouplers, it looks like the force of that mini explosion imparted enough force to the moon that the physics engine went "YOU CAN'T DO THAT LOL" and fucked you over. If you use a weaker decoupler, it'll hopefully go away. No promises though.
Can anyone here tell me why my lunar lander falls apart when I try to decouple it?
Might be the lander legs clipping the jettisonned parts. The ship doesn't collide with parts of itself, but it does with other ships and debris.
Also, are you sure that those two decouplers aren't switched around in the staging plan? It looks to me as if it were the one right under the command module that gets activated.
because hogdriver has not put them all in one yet. Haven't gotten around to trying it yet.
800 SI in vaccuum? Holy shit.
Well, looks like we got our warp drives.
Uh, does anyone have a good Angara ship they would be willing to share with me? Mine tends to explode a bit :v:
Well, looks like we got our warp drives.
Perhaps, but the thrust is super low. I can see this working out well.
Might be the lander legs clipping the jettisonned parts.
Perhaps, but the thrust is super low. I can see this working out well.
With the new physical time warping, it will work out really well, assuming it doesn't really overheat that easily.
What does the impulse stuff stand for actually? Does it multiply the thrust or something by X amount ?
sambooo, your decouplers are in the wrong order
What does the impulse stuff stand for actually? Does it multiply the thrust or something by X amount ?
It's a measure of fuel efficiency.
