So wait... what the hell is going on at the forums? Are we still gonna get x5?
-snip- wtf doublepost [editline]1st March 2012[/editline] Anyways, Hudlong, Dunlong and Roton are the first to test my SPACE hauler, which is supposed to be able to dock with stations and/or get rid of large debris in orbit. Sadly enough, the rocket isn't very stable [editline]1st March 2012[/editline] did I do good now they're going AWAY from the core :v:
Would anyone mind uploading the experimental version with persistence? I want to play with it ;_;
I just downloaded it fine an hour ago so I don't know why we would upload it.
You can't upload 0.14, or any experimentals. Most of us are downloading fine.
Do you need to donate to have access to the file?
Would anyone mind uploading the experimental version with persistence? I want to play with it ;_;
Buy the fucking game you cheapskate.
Buy the fucking game you cheapskate.
Woah woah woah, I haven't updated for quite a while, now that I actually KNOW you need to pay for it I will. With the recent take down of experimental builds I just thought that it wasn't available at all.
I managed to see my other rocket which is orbiting Kerbin [editline]1st March 2012[/editline] it made me realise how god damn fast it actually goes. [editline]1st March 2012[/editline] distance was about 50-60 KM at shortest point.
Finally got around to buying it, what are some of the essential mod packs to download? Seems to me that there is a lot out there and when I was playing the demo I may or may not have downloaded a few too many packs.
Kyle and/or Winston, please make your fairings eject with more force in the next update. They made my rocket go boom :(
Yes, I had this problem too. It's due to the way the ejection forces are dealt since 0.14. I'll increase the forces and sling up the download. In the meantime, just jettison them with your engines off and wriggle your way out, or wait for them to drift.

Other than that it's really personal preference to which packs you use, though Downunder, KW Challenger and the IFE parts are a decent place to start.

Seems to me that there is a lot out there and when I was playing the demo I may or may not have downloaded a few too many packs.
I recommend in general: Down Under KW Challenger CardboardBoxProcessor's Durgon / Failcan stuff For space planes, and possibly overpowered engines/very large fuel tanks: C7's pack(s) Jellycubes Weaponry (includes bombs, missiles, etc. modular.) And for the advanced, I recommend: BACE Construction Co. for mun bases Probodobodyne for making satellites, maybe small additions to stations Kosmos and ExPl for space station parts.
So this thread is still running, cool. Another title idea would be "March to your doom"
Is anyone else getting horrible framerates in 0.14 X4?
Is anyone else getting horrible framerates in 0.14 X4?
No, I'm getting 120 FPS max 80 avg [editline]1st March 2012[/editline] But my CPU is overclocked.
The Kosmos station parts seem to be getting far more attention then mine. I'm not complaining at all, I would just like to know why so that I can improve on my parts. Also:
[t]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1417259/kerbal/almaz3.png[/t]
That module is quite impressive.
Hey guys, I have a bug tester rank now so get the new experimental but also access to a bug testing thread. If you guys find any major bugs in x4 tell me so I can reproduce and post about them!
Hurah, managed to land. This was my 3rd try in 0.14, the first version is still lying somewhere on the moon, all broken and with the kerbals stranded over there. [editline]1st March 2012[/editline] now to land more I guess.

You guys do realize we can make doors like on the shuttle with the new lander leg parts, right? :dance:
You guys do realize we can make doors like on the shuttle with the new lander leg parts, right? :dance:
Not quite. Lander legs are hardcoded. When plugin development gets going, yeah.
yeah we will be getting x5, you have to apply to be a volunteer test subject. Edit: Actually lander legs are NOT hard coded, if you want to try to make your own check this thread: http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=7755.0
Not quite. Lander legs are hardcoded. When plugin development gets going, yeah.
Speaking of plugins: HOLY FUCK! HOW? http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=7847.0
Not sure why but I still can't download x4... tried 25 times but it stops around 50-70mb. Do any of you have any ideas why it keeps stopping? I tried on two browsers; Google chrome and internet explorer. Also when downloading I notice that there is no "end point" for the file size, it just says how much has been downloaded so far and how fast but not the total file size of the download. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with the problem though. I also tried clearing cache, browsing history and all that kind of stuff.

Edit: Actually lander legs are NOT hard coded, if you want to try to make your own check this thread: http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=7755.0
That's the definition of hard-coded. Editing a cfg is not modifying code.
So how do you become a test subject? Did I have to spam the thread with requests?
