While it's downloading, anyone want to tell me what the new parts are?
While it's downloading, anyone want to tell me what the new parts are?
large rcs fuel, large asas, nuke engine

You did good. It's funny. When I started playing, I thought to myself: Alright, I'll just start by experimenting with rockets going to minmus, then try interplanetary in a week or so. Suddenly I found myself hurtling towards Duna, not sure if I had enough fuel, not sure how the atmosphere would be like, not sure of anything, except one thing: I was going to leave a mark on Duna. I blame that Bill was the commander. Shear dumb luck can have a tiny bit of the credit as well.
What is that lower piece? Also, how did you angle your engines like that?
What is that lower piece? Also, how did you angle your engines like that?
It's called the Rockomax Brand adapter, it's under Structural. Lower piece is the big ass RCS tank, though I didn't use RCS. The lander is the stock lander, "Superheavy lander" or something. I just wanted a lander real fast so I could start experimenting with different techniques.
Is the KerbalSpaceProgram site down for everybody else? I want to get the update but I can't use the patcher (university firewall)

He used to give me every update, but he moved to a diff. town over the summer. Looks like I definitely need to buy KSP then.

I feel like an idiot, i cant get to any of the planets.
Jolly old trip to Jool with my Verne probe. Sometime later This is Bop, one of Jool's moons, I went to land my Verne probe on it. Detached and boosted away from my last stage. Getting closer to the surface, the thing that makes landing here hard is basically everything your hud tells you is wrong, overall velocity, whats down, etc. Basically due to planet turning and the horrific angles to land on, my plan was a rolling start down a hill. Here we go Landing engines get lost Bye lander Landed it nicely. Landing took about 3 attempts to land it, this is a god damn horrific moon to land on.
Still cant fucking get the update.
How do you gauge the atmo on the other planets/moons? Do you have to scan the planet and then you get some sort of HUD readout showing density, etc (to determine viability of parachutes) or do you just go to the KSP wiki and look it up?
this is a god damn horrific moon to land on*
this is a god damn horrific moon to land on*
Touché

I would have thought squad learned their lesson last update The servers always crash :suicide:
anyone have a other planet ready craft?
I got the dl within minutes from release :v:
Woohoo probe landing on Duna! [T]http://puu.sh/16OUR[/T] God Dammit [T]http://puu.sh/16OUV[/T] Smug little bastard [T]http://puu.sh/16OV0[/T] Well, at least half my probe survived. :v:
The fact that most of my landings on the other planets have made use of atmospheric passthroughs, makes me want re-entry effects/ plating even more.
My craft ripped itself apart during maximum time warp en route to duna orbit. Is this a glitch or a structural problem?
Wow. I really need to buy this game. Chose the wrong time to build a 3D printer...
My craft ripped itself apart during maximum time warp en route to duna orbit. Is this a glitch or a structural problem?
glitch, i think it is on rails on max warp (no physics)
glitch, i think it is on rails on max warp (no physics)
Is there a fix for this, or do I have to stay below max warp?

So how the fuck does this ORDA mod work with docking? I have my module up at the station node, the station has a docking target part and the node has a docking system part. Yet they wont dock even when perfectly aligned
