There's a cheat/debug menu that makes your joints undestructable. Have you tried it?

The website's still slow, but I managed to download the patcher and I'm downloading it ow.
is there a source for the powertech mod or did they not release that? i really want a working version of it and am willing to try to fix it myself if there is a source
Rd-0124 Has been remodelled. The pump is sort of cluttered with all the fuel, pre burner, and oxidizer lines but I got it all compacted and cramped under there. It is also shorter than the orignal and shares the same mount as the RD-191. also, less polies once again :D Put a 2 degree vector on there so it is more likely to keep self more stable with out RCS. But gosh can it spin :D

It sounds like it needs more accuracy than it does. Works like a champ. I got all the way to jool with this thing.
I feel like I need to get a spaceplane to jool with that orbital construction plugin...
Tried one more time to manually get to Duna.
Conics actually showed an encounter. Hell yes.
Sped up time. Preparing to get caught by it.
Conics decides it wasn't an encounter afterall, and makes me speed past it at such close range, an itsy bitsy burn beforehand would have gotten me a real encounter. Fucking conics. Enough of this shit until the bugfix (for real now). Going manually is a massive pain in the ass.

bah i really need power mod now. turns out where i parked the ship that has it will intercept one of jool's moons eventually and get flung out of the solar system. need the power mod so i can get more fuel so i can move its orbit so i can do stuff

I'm about to send my first unmanned probes into Duna's atmosphere, and I want to simulate the curiosity landing footage, does anyone know a mod to have camera that I can record with?

just try to have your upper stage not have either the stock large fuel tank or stock large decoupler, i think it is one of those that breaks the ship at max warp.

also just bring enough fuel to correct for stuff like that orkel. don't bother trying to be all nasa like by timing launches right. it saves fuel but it costs you (personally) time as you'll probably fuck up
The SciSat (Science Sattelite) I built is working wonders, I have mapped the entire kerbin and I am now mapping a good portion of the mun.

Anyone have a good tip to put a rover on the mun and also get my kerbs back home? or should I just skip that and send the rover with an unmanned rocket first and then send the kerbs?

TBH I did the bring enough fuel to do corrections, didn't work.
sat on the launch pad, fastfowarded while holding up my protractor to kerbol and lining up duna and kerbin with around 50 degrees between them
launched, orbited, got to 45 degrees, slowed time down, got it in the right place and burned.
Overshot the intercept a bit, so i burned prograde, and i smashed right into duna
killing jeb "badass" kerman

Time to start playing again!

Vanilla parts are underpowered.
I can't make a proper plane at all, I can't rotate stuff and I can't put wheels on the wings and my planes all just spin out and crash.
