are you going 270 degrees?
Yep.
conics set to 3 or up?
conics set to 3 or up?
No. What effect does this have? Also, here's my orbit.
A protractor overlay that could be toggled by a key would be a good plugin.
A protractor overlay that could be toggled by a key would be a good plugin.
Like the tactical overlay from Homeworld or Eve.
Here's the update: http://www.kerbal.net/mod.php?id=7 I halved the atmospheric density need for the machchute to open. I also scaled up the aeroshell parts by 50%.
Actually, don't download this. I accidently put old parts in it. I'll have a fixed version up in a minute.
higher conic number increases the number of orbits it predicts. That orbit looks right. stay in map view, and slowly burn prograde. it should snap to eve entry
higher conic number increases the number of orbits it predicts. That orbit looks right. stay in map view, and slowly burn prograde. it should snap to eve entry
Is there any downside to just cranking it up to like, 10?
IIRC its calculating out all the orbits so computer performance may vary
Ok, I fixed it: http://www.kerbal.net/mod.php?id=7 Scaled up aeroshell parts, halved atmospheric density required for machchute deploy, updated old files. Sorry about that.

What would be cool is if you could a mark a point on your orbit, and time accelerate to just that point.
I believe that's planned with the docking feature I remember harv talking about something like that and he said that the new warps (.17) were the groundwork for that [editline]21st September 2012[/editline] also a protractor overlay would require a part on your rocket thats just how plugins work
Curious, how often do updates come out?
Check this out - an on-screen protractor http://www.markus-bader.de/MB-Ruler/
[t]http://i.imgur.com/4EWcN.png[/t] (click it, it's 4454x638) 360 panorama from my Duna Rover. That looks fucking awesome [editline]21st September 2012[/editline] I'm gonna mess with terrain settings and shit to see how good of a shot I can get.
Arg all of my old rocket designs no longer work. Due to their size and complexity and the non-rigidity of 0.6 I had to launch them at less than half thrust, which of course then meant I was using the low-thrust-liquid-engine-bug to my advantage. Back to the drawing board
If you use max warp and some external program eg cheat engine or something to speed up KSP will the ships still move etc so you can actually have extraplanetary missions that don't take hours
How do I enable the dev menu?
First air breathing plane to have a stable flight model and good enough fuel/lift capacity. The new center of mass and lift indicators are REALLY useful. The design also happens to be the simplest of my 10 something other designs - there's something be learned there I think lol. Not much of an achievement, but it feels good doing something right the first attempt (of the day) at least. [t]http://i.cubeupload.com/qS9cjg.png[/t] [del]318,000m[/del] 900,000m distance covered sounds pretty good for a craft with PLENTY of room for improvement (physically). [editline]21st September 2012[/editline] /everyone is going to different planets and i'm still sitting here on Kearth post
Also, is there any reason why we can't use the physical warps in space when the ship is accelerating?
Jebediah is stuck on the mun and I cant go pick him up because anything carrying something that I predict will be able to launch from the mun and reach kerbin will just destroy itself under its own weight on the launch pad/during the gravity turn Sorry jeb :(
No. What effect does this have? Also, here's my orbit.
eve's orbit is on a tilt, you're going over or under the planet
How do I enable the dev menu?
ctrl+alt+left shift+d
shoar please check wizards profile page for kerbal.net suggestion tia
Okay. I've used both a real and on screen protractor, aligned everything according to the planetary calculator, and set my conics to 10, but I still have not gotten an Eve intercept. This is frustrating.
eve's orbit is on a tilt, you're going over or under the planet
also, is your parking orbit set correctly in the calculator?
also, is your parking orbit set correctly in the calculator?
Yeah. Should I burn + normal or - normal from an inclination of 0? Also, what which point in the orbit should I begin the pro/anti normal burn?
Could someone explain to me, how is it even possible for a ship to become unbalanced if you're using symmetry?
[t]http://i.imgur.com/rSalH.jpg[/t] Larger cooler version that might or might not have exploded my computer and framerate
