I model with 3ds max 2012.
Texturing can be done with any image editing program, usually Photoshop.
Anything which I don't have to spend money on just to mod this, or some other game.

Google Sketchup and Blender are a couple of free modelling programs, along with Gmax as cbbp mentioned.
only sketch up exports awfully.
If anyone could find pictures of MIR modules that show detail on them that would be appreciated :)

Now that Cardboard has the models I made and I'm on standby, I decided to download the Ausplane and try to reverse-engineer it to produce a new space plane for Kosmos. It won't be Klipper-based, since Klipper would require deployable wings, which is currently impossible. Instead, this will be my first original design.
