How do I even gravity turns?
Throughout your flight, slowly turn towards the horizon.
Saves fuel on orbital insertion.
Gotta get the new versions of this. DLs don't work.
Except the way that it works makes it more efficient to do a Munar insertion yourself.
I got in moon-orbit without using the last 10% of fuel from the booster with Durgun.

Orbital adjustment is one of the lowest fuel cost maneuvers.
I've got more shit in orbit then actual stations
I have yet to hear a story aout someone launching a giant rocket and the whole thing getting destroyed by a part (most likely a decoupler) of a previous vessel.
I finally got to the moon, but had too much speed and crashed into the surface. Its a start, I guess.
Someone should come up with a way to sync save files between players...
Someone should come up with a way to sync save files between players...
You could do it with Git Version Control which would work quite well, you'd just have to make sure you didn't have two people progressing the same save at the same time (I think git can lock files)

Except I could do it with more than that. The best way iirc is to get into a roughly 100Km orbit, then burn after the Mun comes over the horizon.
Guaranteed Munar insertion.

The best way is to get a 11 million meter orbit westward, guaranteed munar insertion.

That's inefficient.
I CAN'T HANDLE IT IF IT ISN'T EFFICIENT! :tinfoil:

Not just a little inefficient either, it's very.
Both getting to the 11 million meter westward orbit, as well as doing the Munar insertion. (Because you move opposite to the orbit of the Mün, you will be moving at over 1000m/s relative to it, which affects the orbital insertion there, quite a lot.

Efficiency is hardly Kerbal.

I was thinking of something more user friendly then version control.
The addition of multiplayer would be awesome. Something like minecraft where the world info is stored on the server, and the simulation would be running always.
Anyone know where I can get some longer landing legs.

With mechjeb, it is much easier to get nice, smooth landings.

Oh and its low res because I was playing on my netbook.
I got my new case today and was transferring my components from old to new.
Took a little KSP break. Had a lot of fun.
Rd-191's first flight. what a lovely sun rise.

I can't seem to sleep, so I worked some on balancing the Kosmos parts. Just a minute ago I launched a station using a rocket with 48 nozzles on the bottom, and still couldn't get it to orbit. Oh well, I'm just happy the thing didn't blow up on the pad. I really need to go back to bed.
Well guys, after several tries and two stupidly over-engineered rocket designs, I finally landed on the Mün.

Elliptical orbit? What's that?
How does everyone get that information on their screen?

On the second launch, when your rocket was going all over the place everyone was smiling. Did you get 3 Jebs at the same time? No wonder why you crashed! :v:
GOD i want to buy this game, but i dont have much money to spend.

They aren't dying because "Relaunch" simply loads an autosave from when you pressed launch in the VAB. If you want the new crew, click VAB at the end, and relaunch the ship.
Re-balancing the VA capsule is going well. I've adjusted everything from mass to drag and the thrust of the retro rockets. Note- if you ever need to lower the weight of a capsule, leave the parachute alone, since decreasing the mass also decreases drag, which means a lighter parachute won't slow you down as well as a heavier one.
Guys, I made an illustration for another thread, but feel like it fits in here as well.
It blew me a little away, even though I knew it was like this.
