I needed to post something to stimulate this thread :P

We are getting space planes in the next update, the landing gear looks sexy and fuck, although missing the tire treads but C7 has said that they will be added on. Also this is going to be used to make the normal map so i can only assume KSP is getting Normal Map support!
Edit: he has decided to remake it to look less smoothish and more hard surface y.
So much better than it was before.
Also guys, you do realise KSP's Artstyle, that you all have issue with C7's stuff not matching, isn't actually guaranteed to stay the same as they're all placeholders.
I'm not really into the whole scrap metal and bits of string theme everyone seems to love.
In fact, I liked SundayPunch's and K&W's artstyle much more.

Nice integrated grafix you got there.
Second stage so far:

I'm so pumped to finish this when I have something to show.
Allow me to regale you with a tale:
It was the landing of STS-3 (How the Kerbals managed to get their hands on a shuttle is beyond me). It was the original crew on the flight deck: Bob, Bill, and Jeb, all of which were excited to come home after over a month in high Kerbin orbit. The deburn and atmospheric entry were all uneventful: the autopilot set course to land a few kilometers east of the Space Center, at which point the crew would take over and bring the Shuttle in for a landing. The finish line was in sight.
At around 20KM -- when the aerodynamic stress was at it's peak during maximum deceleration -- I opened the Surface Information tab of the autopilot and everything seemed standard: high Gees as the shuttle entered the denser air. Every now and then the unusual reading, but I chalked it up to statistical anomaly. I wish I hadn't.
Three KM west of the Center, I took over control. Using the navball as my primary navigation tool (duh) and got into the glide slope for runway 27 and set the ASAS so I don't need to work as hard. And then I noticed something.
The navball began to spin, Delta-Alpha (change in angle of attack) began to increase almost exponentially: 5 degrees, 10, 30, 45, 120. I was backwards and upside down, unsure of the cause of such an unusual change in plane. I was fighting the spacecraft now, and had to put it down fast.
Thinking it was a stall error (because this game is great at stall physics), I throttled up and gained altitude and speed; no dice. For the next three minutes, I was at three kilometers east and high from the Center looping my way down. Nothing I tried would work: KILLROT, PROGRADE, and every other setting on SMARTASS made the problem worse.
I loop-de-looped my way down to the runway, landing on my tail and destroying all three engines, and somehow ended up flipping end over end and landing upside-down.

[sp]I have no idea how the hell this happened, seriously.[/sp]
That was even worse when the atmosphere was brick wall edition.
The vanguard shuttle does that if you adjust your angle of attack at too fast of speeds. It must be something about the game.
I've never had Jeb or any of the originals in .14 :smith:

Yes you have, they're in the first launch. Delete your save and restart the game; then you'll see them.

Mebbe since you used it already, I didn't get them? Did you give me an empty save in it?

Probably, delete the sfs; and you'll be fine.
Nova just posted this image showing off normal maps, and C7 has been saying stuff about normals aswell. Are they ingame in the current version or is support for them being added in 0.15?
So what has changed since 0.13? (Or whatever the last free version was). I kinda haven't played since. I might buy the game this afternoon if there's some nice stuff

I don't know how you managed it but you just made Space and the Space Shuttle VERY uncool, sir

How did this get into the related videos:

I made NK's rocket in KSP.
Worked much better for me than for them.

I figured I should start some texturing on my station parts. What do you like better for a base color?

Wat.
My Attack 3 Joystick and Saitek Pro Flight Rudder pedals both stopped working only for KSP.
Anyone know how to solve this? I tried reinstalling KSP and shit like that, but nothing works.

I personally can't think of anything besides KSP's settings.cfg file that could cause this. Try moving it to another folder temporarily so that KSP recreates a new one, before rebinding.

I already deleted the cfg, and it didn't work. The axis aren't being picked up at all

Apparently the Steam version of Lunar Flight (or maybe any version at all) screws with Unity settings...
[editline]13th April 2012[/editline]
OP did you happen to play/install the game "Lunar Flight"?
I ask as I bought and played it on Steam yesterday and it messed up my controls for Kerbal space Program. Never seen one game mess up another before.
The solution for me was to remove a Registry entry.
Disclaimer, do not do this if you are not computer inclined .
Open up Regedit and look for:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Unity\Player]"Input"="DirectInput"
Simply deleted that "Input" = "DirectInput" entry from the registry and close Regedit.
Reload Kerbal and all should be fine with Kerbal now
