How does one render a map with from the mapping module above?
I'd rather wait for a delay for docking (like what we did with 0.14). Really. This was *THEE* feature that I was waiting for.
I even think at one point Harv even called this the "Docking Update".
It seems as if this new update system isn't quite working as intended, in my opinion -- what with everyone working on something different at once... I sort of miss the focus/concentration that Harv and his small team once had in the previous updates.
I could have happily waited for Space Planes in a later update if we got docking in this update, yanno?
Most of the new parts C7 is making are stupid. Helicopters and F-22's don't have a place in this game, especially not vanilla.

I would much prefer that the effort goes into more space plane type parts and less fighter and helicopter parts.
Patched conics is in.
And I'm pretty sure that the HAB is in too.
Right now I'm rendering a new video following the story of a lonely rover.
It also is slightly more edited than the others.
so they plan to use the ares tower (already made) for the SLS. now nice :D
They plan to use a whole lot already made.
The main tank is a stretched Space Shuttle ET, and the 5 engines under it are SSME, and the boosters are 5 segment Space Shuttle SRB's.
Top stage is also based on previous designs, and as we've discussed, the engine is a J-2X.
well better than then using a new tower. but I am curious. are the SSME always planned to be used? or will they get a different engine over time? basically. is it for demo flights or else wise.
edit: Since this is the top page i will use this post to share shuttle with you all.
To see them all resized so you don't have to click every link you can see them here.

how do you resize an image with FP BB?

Eh I just manually resized them. Re posted on the top of the page. I hope you all enjoy it. It should be of still large enough size to be nice but not too large. they are 1800 wide instead of 4000.

Roger that. also, I added the link to the Kerbal Space thread since it automatically resized the images. so it you don't have to click them all.
I've been working on the patched conics today again, and reached a few decisions as to how to present the orbits.
I think the most intuitive way to display each conic section, is to show them relative to their own reference body. It's what we are already used to seeing, so I think out of all the options, this is the one that will make more sense to everyone:
http://i.imgur.com/Dn5qp.png
Instead of drawing the orbit in relation to the current body position though, we draw it in relation to the position of the body at the moment the new conic patch starts.
http://i.imgur.com/kFQ0F.png
After we enter the new patch, the solver moves on to display your next orbit. I want to make it possible to manually open up new conic patches by clicking on the encounter/escape nodes, but that might have to wait for the more complete implementation 0.16. I'd also like to add a view options panel on the map UI, so you can select between drawing orbits in relation to themselves, to the current body, and all those options. Also, so you can toggle drawing orbits of a certain type.
That's about it for now I think.
Can I have your ME-163 photo?
lol mod on KSp removed my images. haha. dumb.
Finally, I have a very basic version of the new service module in-game:

So what major updates/content has been released since the demo version? I've gotten hooked on this for the fourth time and am considering buying it this time.

Persistence, the ability to make plugin-based mods, new terrain, moving parts and maybe something else I'm forgetting.
oh those look nice pelf :D just think with normal maps you can make them look even more ISS ish.

SpaceX delayed till 19th.
I wish they would say what the problem is :/ it is all rather hush hush eh? must be the code :/

Guys, everyone complaining about the lack of focus on docking - there was no lack. It's just that they needed the new part control and staging made first, as docking relied on that. Apparently docking itself is already 90% done! No focus was exactly 'wasted' anyway since other people were making those plane parts, not the people assigned to docking.
I hope 0.16 won't take long to release then.

Sorry if I skipped over it like an idiot, but do we have a general idea of a release date for the next update? That heating and C7 parts are making me antsy.

They scripted it in C++? Well, that's another use of that language I guess; scripting space rockets.
I made some kind of monster plane, it can go to 2.6 KM/s within the atmosphere (it isn't a spaceplane though, didn't go above 70 Km yet.
