That's ballsy of Harvester. All those bugs yet he wants to release this week.
He didn't say he'd release this week, he said he'd have a release date to post this week.

Hrm... away from my work machine :( i was doing cool stuff too. oh gosh they are gonna launch orion with Delta IV heavy manned variant and lander and earth escape modukle with udated shuttle-c eww
I was just trying out Pelf's current prerelease station parts, and encountered an odd glitch. Upon reaching about 40K meters around Kerbin, I separated the station from the rocket and prepared to use the service module to reach orbit. Suddenly, without any input or explanation, the station began spinning. It was spinning end over end, not around the Y axis. In fact, its spin was aligned to the solar panels. It kept spinning faster and faster until it reached one rotation per second, which is whizzing for a station that large. I let it reenter and and watched as it finally stopped spinning at around 1000 meters due to atmospheric drag.
Was your design unbalanced? Pics of spess steshun please.
Was your design unbalanced? Pics of spess steshun please.
It shouldn't matter, I've had asymmetrical designs work great.
It shouldn't matter, I've had asymmetrical designs work great.
Unless they were space shuttle designs. At least for me :sigh:
Unless they were space shuttle designs. At least for me :sigh:
For space shuttle designs I just strap a fuel tank on the opposite side of the shuttle. Also would you guys consider me to be an "elitist?" I'm skilled, but I don't think I'm an elitist.
Forgot I actually snapped a picture during launch. Also forgot to mention that I tried to download the cBBp pack just a few hours ago and the .rar was corrupted.
You elitist prick! Actually, Tim_Barret is elitist, you just good at thisand well respected?
Tim is just dumb.

Were you applying any thrust?
Oh, and almost forgot, I'm working on a huge starship made with tons of station parts and junk. Working out the launch atm.

Whereas I usually rewrite my sentences before posting, I imagine you just put down what you think (still fixing grammer, etc).
It appears that you have a radiator panel on the one side but not one opposite. Were you applying any thrust?
Briefly. I shut the engine off as soon as I saw it start to spin, and it continued to accelerated after I stopped the engine. Also, the part did not arc over as if it were being pulled by gravity. It looked more like an RCS rotation, although I didn't have RCS on.

it is because of micro collisons. durgun has this problem. thus SAS [editline]7th February 2012[/editline] question. should the RRA for the TKS be solid rocket or liquid rocket?
I.. I don't mean to tease but... many people wanted the TKS I saw... so.. I got tired of "landing" MIRs. so i made this tonight.
People like to throw the word 'elitist' around a lot. A lot of people who use it, doesn't actually know what it means.
Doesn't elitist mean the same as "master race" as the term is used in rpgs?
Hey, guys, the new mods have been announced: 2 of them I'd consider great: venku and softweir, and the other (Drakomis) I've never heard of. I know, quality over quantity... but can you decide quality with nothing to judge on? Also, some new guy, DamionRayne, who did the interview with Harv just boosted up to a global mod, simply because he's well known. If you ask me, it's bullshit. He claims the website he's part of (tacticalgamer.com) helps a lot of indie games and get's 10s of thousands of hits each day, but it is complete bullshit. On the front page KSP is the only indie game I see there, and it has somewhere near 300 views. Nowhere near the thousands claimed. Also, he's been flaming people and getting away with it. Some guy jokingly said he raged because this guy didn't use symmetry in the interview background video, and then Damion does this rage-post stating how it didn't matter, and how his post made him so angry that he wasn't worth talking to. He throws his weight around a lot, too. He's turned himself into KSP's PR manager. Anyways, that's the drama of the KSP forums today...
lol bane for flame

Very nice.

I love the engines being on top. It looks so good.
I love the engines being on top. It looks so good.
thanks. I am quite partial to it as well. it is a neat little craft. was easy to make it a self contained pod. having to use a rocket to get out of orbit was annoying. one reason I made the Durgun. but this one is nice and small :D [editline]9th February 2012[/editline] Seems the RCS system needs redoing. it is basically. the exact center of gravity of the pod so they don't do anything lol. damn :/ [editline]9th February 2012[/editline] Okay. remodeled the RCS tank and RCS modules and now they do stuff in orbit :) [editline]9th February 2012[/editline] Also, I noticed it allows for some interesting designs to be made @_@ mated it to the TKS block and made it's RCS tanks. Tomorrow perhaps i will make it's RCS blocks
