Bit late, Elon put this picture on his twitter half an hour ago: https://twitter.com/#!/elonmusk/status/203653287638081536/photo/1/large
I would love to stand there and look 0__o
Still not good enough? Fine.

So how do I control roll on a plane? Do I just make the wings longer?
So how do I control roll on a plane? Do I just make the wings longer?
W&S is pitch. A&D is yaw. Q&E is roll.
W&S is pitch. A&D is yaw. Q&E is roll.
I mean in terms of plane design. I want to make rolling less volatile so I can turn without doing backflips everywhere.
And then I get the "cockpit falling off right when i spawn" glitch god dammit, how do I fix it?
I mean in terms of plane design. I want to make rolling less volatile so I can turn without doing backflips everywhere.
Placing weight and/or engines on the wingtips instead of the fuselage helps quite a bit. For example, this thing is pretty damn hard to stall out: [t]http://i.imgur.com/r00Rk.jpg[/t] I'm pretty sure this happens because air resistance isn't exactly in the game yet. And MadCat, I've found that parts will just fall off sometimes because they're clipping through a part they spawn adjacent to.
Okay, I fixed it by putting a landing gear as close to the cockpit as I could.
So as it turns out, Aerospike engines are not only FASTER than Solid boosters, they're also more reliable, lighter, overheat less and are actually controllable. AND they work in space. TL;DR: Use Aerospikes instead of solid boosters

Welp. made me the RD-862LK it is actually shorter than the stock engine :) it will probably be weaker after I do what I want to do but for now it si strong and uses RCS fuel. but in the future it will use regular rocket fuel
Actually now that I have the full version of this. I want to look into making new parts. I do a lot of modeling stuff both as a hobby and as part of my job. I'm really itching to get back into modeling for fun and stuff.
Does anyone have a link to a livestream for the dragon launch that's gonna happen within a hour?
http://www.spacex.com/webcast/ !!!!!! 20 Minutes, oh shit, oh god oh man.
Now try landing
I landed quite successfully (The flight was only a few seconds long and I only traveled a few feet, but still a success.)
NASA stream is cooler than the SpaceX stream. More SCIENCE!
So, here my rover was just driving around. Somewhat later one the gears broke, so I thought "fuck it, I could as well try to fly it back home now" So I did I didn't hope a surface landing though :v: But it worked! I would've been intact if I didn't miss that one gear
Dragon 9 launch just aborted, sounds as if they're going to retry though.
Engine cutoff at SpaceX [editline]19th May 2012[/editline] Didn't this also happen during the engine test? Where they reset to t-40 minutes?
Nope, no launch today. [editline]19th May 2012[/editline]
Engine cutoff at SpaceX [editline]19th May 2012[/editline] Didn't this also happen during the engine test? Wow i woke up in the middle of the night, decided to look at this thread, saw the link to the stream, clicked it, and they were on the final 30 seconds, and then the launch got aborted.. Crazy. I mean I didn't even know that this was happening, I didn't wake up on purpose to see the launch or anything, I just woke up for no reason which is weird.

Engine 5 pressure was too high.
Engine 5 pressure was too high.
CardBoardBoxprocessor: but "slightly high in engine 5" what their computer is super paranoid? CardBoardBoxprocessor: reminds me of madagascar in pandemic.
