No, it's not like that. People were complaining about the delays, so they rushed for a "get it out, fix it later" approach.
You won't believe just how many bugs have been fixed.
Stupid landing gear keep getting stuck in the runway and messing up my flights.
What's the altitude ceiling on the atmospheric engines? I can't seem to get the standard ones to work too well above about 7km.

Because winglets are still bugged. Once you have that in the air it will fly forever without any power needed.

I made it to the Mun and back for the first time in a very long time using a completely untested rocket. I used a fraction of the fuel I normally would have because the whole predictive thing made me so much more efficient with my flight pattern.
Just built my first VTOL rocket plane. Managed to get about 500 meters into the air before it started falling backwards and crashed into the ground creating a mighty explosion.
My planes keep spawning with the wheels inside the ground. Any help?

Well when mine did that I lower then then open them again sometimes it works.
Finally got a ship to Minmus, orbiting at ~8500m at ~202m/s.

I made a VTOL plane, but didn't realize the landing gear were attached to the tilt rotor thing. It takes off well, but it doesn't really fly very well once it's in the air.

You need a vertical stabilizer. Might help... Probably won't
