I still have yet to land on the moon.
He said "got to", not "landed" A very important difference.
rockets strapped on planes are still being tested [editline]20th May 2012[/editline] OH GOD
Gah my game keeps crashing after I build these big ass complicated rockets and half the time I don't save.
What's with symmetrical planes veering to the left or right? And symmetry resetting all the time? Beta testing must have been a joke.
Just tried landing on the moon again, got closer than ever before but ran out of fuel and couldn't move towards it. In terms of the map I was about an inch away from the moon.
I make and save massive awesome rockets. When i load them they just fall over and collapse. Is this a glitch or something?
Has anyone else found a performance drop since 0.15? What little frames I had have taken a big hit.
Just crashed into the surface of the moon, first time I ever touched it... was going far too fast.
Succes! The plane wanted to fuck me over again, but it only managed to throw me of course for a bit, but I managed to fix that
Just crashed into the surface of the moon, first time I ever touched it... was going far too fast.
Still counts :v:
I can probably remove 1 fuel tank from the disposed stage on the last pic, I still have almsot all my fuel in the last half tank, so I could've finished my orbit with that.
Ah shucks, going to die again. Well, I seem to have mastered the ability to get in line with the moon but not the ability to create a suitable lander. Back to the drawing board it seems.
It's supposed to do this right?
The sun as seen from the moon's north pole. It will never set or rise, which is really interesting. [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/7Umgv.png[/thumb] [editline]lol[/editline] Arrived at the absolute north pole (a pyramid shaped point), the voyage was a success: [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/8GPU6.png[/thumb] Weird things happens to the camera and the instruments: everything starts to rotate.

[thumb]http://i.imgur.com/7Umgv.png[/thumb]
The same can be seen from Kerbin's north or south pole. Also from our own Earth if you're far enough north/south during summer. I've seen midnight sun once myself.
Fourth try today. Very close again but went past it. Going to take a break for today, tomorrow I shall work on a better lander and maybe even a new rocket.
Making horrendous spaceplanes is terrifically hilarious.
my fucking lungs
I tried making a space shuttle replica. I was able to glide it down for a runway landing from 8000 meters with no fuel. Now to make it go into space!
Made a spaceplane that with the help of a couple boosters, can get into orbit: Can also glide in for landing, and if everything fails, it can decouple the cockpit and land it with a couple radial parachutes.
So I overhauled my bertha and redid the entire tail section to make it a more "normal" plane. I then attempted to see how far I could get it. I went over the north pole and carred on for awhile before I ran out of fuel and slowly glided down to "land". Flew it all by hand, :)
I hope in the future KSP will be the first game to incorporate relativistic physics.
What's with symmetrical planes veering to the left or right? And symmetry resetting all the time? Beta testing must have been a joke.
The point of the testing team is not to make every release perfectly bug free, if we did that .15 wouldn't be out for another 3 months. I'm quite happy with what we managed to get done during this testing cycle, we got a lot fixed.
finally bought ksp, what mods do you guys use for spaceplanes?

what awesome capsule is that
Would anyone watch me streaming spaceplaen?
what awesome capsule is that
It's from Silisko Edition.
Just crashed into the surface of the moon, first time I ever touched it... was going far too fast.
A crash landing is still a landing :v:
