Is there any difference between all these various little Kerman's i see in the corner?
Is there any difference between all these various little Kerman's i see in the corner?
No, at the moment they're just for fun.
No, at the moment they're just for fun.
And they all, except for Bill, Bob and Jeb, have random personalities (some are happy daredevils, some can barely handle 1G)
You can also edit your saves to put different ones on different ships, as well as make new ones.
Just started playing this a day or so ago, and i'm loving it. Here are some pictures of my current adventures: LEEENS FLAAAARE i had just figured out how to use liquid engines by this point ( or whatever you call them) and then i crash landed at the opposite side of the world... in the sea. I hope they add a atmospheric reentry feature where if you don't enter the atmosphere at a correct angle you will burn up.
I hope they add a atmospheric reentry feature where if you don't enter the atmosphere at a correct angle you will burn up.
I hope that once they do add re-entry heat (because it's a planned feature), it won't be terribly difficult to get the right angle. (Something like an angle of attack below 20 degrees should work). It's not supposed to be a simulator, it's supposed to be a game, so if you make it too difficult, you kinda ruin the point. Could have it as a difficulty option though.
It would be nice if the angel was based off speed. bouncing off the atmosphere might be a nice feature too.

So I made a boat thing [editline]21st May 2012[/editline] Its max speed is only about 22m/s, any faster than that and the rear hydrofoils explode :v:
snagged it earlier today, didn't really know a good way of using the new thing though, useful video, didn't think of putting 2 of them together
Variable Geometry Rockets! LIFTOFF [editline]22nd May 2012[/editline] Kerbal SpaceX program
DRAGON IN ORBIT FUCK YES
They said the apogee is about 37miles off the ISS. I know that's not far when it comes to space travel but I hope they can make it.

The launch was great! KSP v15 seems to handle heavy stuff better it seems, not that I ever had a problem with it. A few heavy struts here and there and you can pretty much do anything you want.
I think the planes need some major control tweaking, because as soon as I get off the runway my controls generally go into ULTRA SENSITIVE MODE and hitting W for half a second will cause my plane to rotate 90 degrees.
Use the caps lock for precision controls, and use very light taps.
Does anyone have any recommendations for some in-atmosphere engines? The stock ones aren't powerful enough for what I need, except for the aerospike but it uses a godawful amount of fuel.

Wait why is 'orbit' capitalized? Is it defined as a place?
Use the caps lock for precision controls, and use very light taps.
Am I the only one who uses a joystick with this game? Tried it once, never looked back. It makes it so much easier to control when you have to make tiny adjustments.
Wait why is 'orbit' capitalized? Is it defined as a place?
It crashed into Orbit, Massachusetts.
