You do realise no-one was expecting Crysis' story to be good, they expected heart pounding nanosuit action that would push their PCs to the limit and that's what they got. Most people probably bought Crysis because of its reputation as a benchmark, and therefore penis extension. And the korean levels were amazing, even though the alien levels were full of stupidly unsatisfying enemies and annoying plot.
Erm, sadly enough, I've met many people who've said that Crysis' story was amazing. I wish I knew more emotes because I can't properly sum up how much this shocks and saddens me in words. [editline]09:01PM[/editline]
I enjoyed crysis, decent modability, great fun to play (although that dropped dramatically when they introduced ICY ALIEN MECHS) people who keep saying "LOL CRYSIS SUCKS, ITSABENCHMARKLOLOL1!" should try it out sometime (and not on a shitty dell mind you)
Ha! You're funny! Because we all know the type of computer everyone else plays on! And that same exact joke hasn't been used in this very thread before! And of course, we all know that what we're arguing about at this very moment is the fact that graphics shouldn't take first place in the game, and yet you're referencing that very fact! I wish I was clever, like you.
Wow the OP is fail WTF
Huh?
I won't lie, I wasn't interested in playing Crysis until I finished building my new machine, and I bought the pack with Warhead for fairly cheap to see how it ran. After the initial awe of high-max graphics I found myself having lots of fun though. Sure, the storyline isn't amazing, and the alien side is cheesy and on the lame side, but overall I liked the game. I loved sneaking around the jungle invisible super punching one guy then reactivating stealth heh. It's not breaking any barriers(besides graphics I suppose) but it was in no way a bad game.
I loved the combat in Crysis.
I loved the combat in Crysis.
What combat? The generic weapons that kill when you click? Yeah, loved it in crysis because other games have totally different system.
Ehm, not the combat-system, the action in the combats... Better?
Ehm, not the combat-system, the action in the combats... Better?
Yeah
My 11 year old Dell does run Crysis on Medium-High. Admittedly, I changed the card to a 7600GS. But the Pentium 4 2.4GHz and a Gig of RAM holds up pretty well, it was the most expensive one at the time.
No it cant.
crysis owned and I can't wait for the sequel. warhead kind of sucked though, I hope it'll be better than that.
I got some really sweet emergent gameplay from Crysis, it wasn`t a terrible buy. During the part where you assault your first real Korean base with the hostage, I managed to get every single Korean to run to my sniping perch, and I snuck behind them to the machine gun post, and had a good epic 10 minutes of trying to mow them down under heavy fire. The AI is just dumb enough to be taken advantage of, but just smart enough to do something cinematic and unexpected at the same time.
my mom's dell couldn't play crysis but hey I enjoyed it on low. It had a great plot and interesting characters. [editline]09:36PM[/editline] i bought crysis to give me incentive to buy a better pc
I don't get whats so fucking awful about Dell? I got a dell PC and I play all my steam games on high/very high Geforce 8600GT AMD Athlon X2 5600+ 2gb Ram Windows 7 (Was vista) Why does everyone rage at Dell?

That is a bullshit fact as I have an HP with 4GHz and 2.5Gs of RAM, and I can't play it on low. Stop lying to make your Dell 'cool'.
I don't get whats so fucking awful about Dell?
It's not what you get, that's fine, but for what price you get it for. They charge far more than they should.
By the end of the original I was really into it. I was sooo damned disappointed when the credits started coming up that it was over.

I can put one together though
