You act like the MC Forums is a terrible place to be avoided at all costs. I believe that, too, but it's pretty much where all the mods are at. http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/995672-123-generator-ports-finally-updated-to-123-125-is-still-in-the-works/
I tried asking the same thing there. I got no answer. [editline]9th April 2012[/editline] And I'm on 1.2.5. That mod is outdated.

What's the name of that mod?
What's the name of that mod?
IndustrialCraft I think Edit: BuildCraft I mean, thanks dije
What's the name of that mod?
Buildcraft.
IndustrialCraft I think
BuildCraft :eng101:
IndustrialCraft can be used with it though. [editline]9th April 2012[/editline] ...merge breaker.
Iron golems need a better AI, perhaps something that keeps them from wandering too far from their point of creation. I spawned about 7 of the bastards in my SSP world and, while they do their job VERY well, only about 4 of them are accounted for.
So I want to make a megasturcture in creative mode singleplayer, with the 'superflat' option. It world is almost perfect, except there are goddamn slimes everywhere. They bounce around my creations and make a godawful clicking noise when they get near me. Is there any option to stop them, or a mod that will make them disappear?
...I am the biggest derp in the world. Thank you good sir!

You create a redstone perimeter (preferably one that doesn't take the depth axis into account, so you don't need to have the redstone exposed), and the golems will not exit that perimeter, if properly formed.

EDIT: Just figure I should clarify a few things on this since i'm getting informatives - in every world where i've tested this, i've always used 3-wide paths. I am unsure if 2-wide, 1-wide or more-than-3-wide gravel paths work. Additionally, in my main singleplayer world where I use to my advantage with 4 golems on a ring around my house, each on a different depth, I have a trapped villager in a "house" nearby the gravel just because i'm not sure if it works without them. I literally just put a wooden door with an iron door in front to keep them there, with a torch inside to stop bad things spawning with them. If someone could test exactly how much leniency you have with this, please tell me.
Can you customize what mods to use with that launcher?

It's very very zoomed out, 10k across at least.
Don't advertise here, it's a chat thread.
meanwhile GiP gets no attention at all What's the problem with advertising from time to time if people ask for good servers to play on here?
It's very very zoomed out, 10k across at least.
It's exactly 10k across actually :v:
Anybody have any ideas about my nether problem? I spawn in the middle of a solid ocean of Netherrack no matter what I do.
I wonder how a "war" game style would go. Requirements: A server that allows PvP, fire, lava, and TNT Preparation: Two teams out of an infinite amount of teams or factions will be spending their days preparing for a day of a "war." They have until a declaration of war against them before they have to stop. A server operator (or administrator, at least) will be like the GM of this "war." There are no real rules to these "wars." The GM teleports both teams to a secluded, flat four chunk area (2x2 array preferred) and these teams will have to meet up on opposite sides of the field. The preparation phase has occurred. This phase involved setting up the battlefield to the whims, and lasts for one MC day (dawn to dusk). Engineers would be the primary "class" out there, setting up traps and cannons. The one rule to this is that no one can be killed by another during that time. Punishment and retribution is up to the GM. Terraformers, another unofficial "class" can dig up on the terrain. They can tear up the land big time. Trenches can be dug and defenses can be placed. The only rule to them is that 1x1 towers will not be allowed. War: There aren't any rules to this. TNT cannons will be launched, fools fall for follies, and the unlucky one may still be stuck in that iron door trap.
It sounds alright, but in practice it'd probably be more like a "throw TNT down, hit it with a redstone torch/flint and steel" fight.
I don't see that being very effective. The 'throw tnt down and light it' thing.
It sounds alright, but in practice it'd probably be more like a "throw TNT down, hit it with a redstone torch/flint and steel" fight.
Or just setting up a TNT cannon array and destroying the ground down to bedrock. Start of the fight would be more like an artillery duel.
Now this would be an interesting "find."
is it a coincidence that the seed 12418 spawned me next to a hole in the sand leading straight down to a large cave
are there any mods that would allow you to change a biome type in a level?
is it a coincidence that the seed 12418 spawned me next to a hole in the sand leading straight down to a large cave
Is it comparable to the 404 seed?
Trying to make a TNT cannon. Rather annoying that all tutorials nowadays seem to be in the form of Youtube videos i.e. someone with a really irritating voice beating around the bush. The simple tutorials, thankfully, are in text and sufficient for me to build upon the idea.
