That CPU is pretty notorious for high temperatures. I've got it in this laptop, and it's absolutely atrocious. I've seen mine go over 90 before.
Me and a friend started a world today where we try and find a jungle to settle there. Until then, we played nomad-style and never spent more than a night in one location.
Fortunately, we found coal very quickly during the first night as well as iron. On the second sunset, we could see the jungle in the distance. I was about to prepare a site we could hide in, but he led a crazed charge towards the distant treetops. I reluctantly gave chase.
After spending the night cowering at the top of a tree, we built my house. Then the farm (WIP).

In the river was a submerged pit containing a large cave network, which I've only began exploring. My friend built a bridge to his house (Which needs improving, yes), and our hanging storage room, which we call the hive because of its position and shape. It contains 16 chests.

It's all very basically made right now, but I'm surprised at how much we got done in a few hours. The first item for tomorrow's agenda will be getting certain livestock up to our leafy abode, although chickens are easily sorted. The cat seems to be hell-bent on slaughtering our stock for the time being. :v:
So far, I quite like this world. Never tried living on trees before, so I'll be interested to see how this turns out.

Making progress on my adventure map, the entire experience has helped me learn a ton of red stone tricks. I've never been bothered to look up how red stone works in tutorials so this has helped me build some pretty advanced (In my standards) contraptions.
Alright, I don't know why it's taken me so long to ask, but I've had a major issue with Minecraft for quite a while now.
When playing I crash very quickly, like within a minute the first time, then it just happens faster every time I restart the game. It's a memory issue I believe, as I've gotten that warning several times, however I've tried accolating more and less RAM to Java but it doesn't help (everything from 256mb to 2048mb).
However, 1 world on my SMP sever works, not fine, but much better, allowing me to play for a good 30minutes to an hour before I crash. Said world also happens to be the smallest.
It does this in every version from 1.1 to 1.2.4.
Is anyone else having an obscene amount of lighting bugs in their Minecraft worlds?
Shadows in inappropriate places and such.
Wait did he just ruin the ending of LOST for me.
I was planning to watch that eventually at some point in my life.
technically not as I think they said you could pretty much just substitute any ending you wanted for it and it would be just as valid
so short of reading your mind there's nothing I could do to spoil it
I haven't spawned in anything but jungle's lately. How tall can these trees get? I think I found one that was like 35 high.
Is there a giant electromagnet underneath and a string of numbers randomly appearing around the island? If so, you might have been dead and in purgatory the whole time.
They were not in purgatory when they were on the island. the only time they were in limbo was when they were waiting for the rest of their friends to pass on so they could go together. And the Purgatory scenes were only in the flash-sideways scenes

I found the problem:Technic pack(and the Yogbox as well,I think)use the really shitty HD S version of optifine.Installing the HD version(for the version of minecraft,of course)right over the modpack.jar (or if you put your mods together, your minecraft.jar) should fix all of that.

It's the CPU that is overheating? You could try to underclock it if possible?
Minecraft ran out of memory, and uh...

This happened. None of this is edited, it all happened while playing.

There were also 2D shapes flying around in the sky, they caused my arrows to disappear when I shot at them.

I didn't have much luck with mods in 1.2.5, so I decided to generate a desert map on creative mode and work on something, I am building an ancient egyptian themed temple/ruins

I can never get those statues right, I am horrible at designing those.
words
what would be so much lots considerably better is if you didnt have to go find a fucking recipe to make something even if you know how to to make since you know how to make it and dont need some npc to tell how to make it

Hey, we are working on a desert project why don't you join us?
Hey, we are working on a desert project why don't you join us?
Thanks for the offer, but, I don't think I'll do you much good.
Decided to have a go at playing vanilla survival legit. Spawned right on top of a large cave system that reached the surface. Plenty of iron and coal to be had, but monsters up the arse. Built a 5x5x2 house and a 3x2 moat surrounding it during the first few days. Going to add a fence next.
Dug a vertical mine shaft, only to come across the same cave network, and a ravine further down. Might use the lava down there to built a Nether portal for harvesting lava for a moat, once I get a diamond pickaxe.
If I kill all neutral mobs in an area, will they come back eventually, or do I have to go round them up from somewhere else?
Desperately needed food and pretty much wiped out the tiny population of pigs.

Friendly mobs don't respawn.
Friendly mobs don't respawn.
Bugger, so breeding them and herding them from somewhere else is the only way?
Wait, do ocelots spawn as well? There were five here just a second ago and one despawned RIGHT before I took the picture.

(And the laptop doesn't overheat when at 640x480. This screenshot is not cropped. It's nice, too.)

As far as I recall, yes.
also this is what I've accomplished so far with what I was working on.

I wish I had the patience to sit around and work on this until it's perfect, but I can't, I have to do something else once in a while.
so, I am planning on recreating the temple of hatshepsut:

Only passive mobs persist, neutral mobs (Endermen, wolves and ocelots) can despawn.

Endermen, neutral? :v:
Endermen, neutral? :v:
They're considered neutral because they don't fuck with you unless you look at them. Kinda like how wolves don't attack you unless you hit one of them first.
Are there any servers around today similar to the old Nationcraft server hezzy was involved in?
Does BANNED_USER still have a server?
