Hey what is that minimap?Rei's minimap?
[editline]14th April 2012[/editline]
Holy fuck, I just downloaded Rei's minimap. It's amazing, thank you
Has anyone made any templates for the default hard-coded textures (i.e. dynamic water, Nether portal, fire, etc.)? If so, are they available for download somewhere? If so, where?
Okay, this'll be cool.

Amazing. I'm using Technic, thanks for all your helpful info on what exactly I'm living across a river from.
[editline]14th April 2012[/editline]
Fuck this game. I'm walking back to the village center to drop off some stone, when suddenly i hear a noise like a mouse chittering. And then a scorpion drops down right in front of me and waves it claws in my face as I shit my pants with the force of a thousand suns.

I feel violated.

It's a monolith of some sort. Never got used to the older version of TC, but I believe you need to research using a Quaesitum by having enough paper to make the Smithsonian ashamed and a lot of cobble, preferably melons and pumpkins. By researching, you can get scrolls and learn how to break the monoliths.

Video may be old, but most of it should still apply.

So I need paper, cobble, melons, pumpkins, and some sort of machine/book/magic library/enchanted dildo?

Then again, this video is for Thaumcraft 2, so you may want to check the wiki of Thaumcraft 1 before taking my word for it.
Found a big cave, loaded with tin, copper, silver, iron, and rubies. It has a stronghold in it too. Fuck.
Could you link me to the Thaumcraft 1 wiki? I can only find TC2.
[editline]14th April 2012[/editline]
Is it possible to upgrade to thaumcraft 2 on a world that already exists with tc1? I think it'd be easier to figure things out that way.

Don't think so. Thaumcraft 2 is a special upgrade that the creator treats as a different mod, while decommissioning the previous major version.

Damn. Is there a way to repair tools?

It's a stronghold, and oh my god I do not want to go into it.
Damn. Is there a way to repair tools?
In Thaumcraft 2, there is an item repairing machine that runs off of a small amount of Vis. It says you can put anything in it and it'll be repaired.
Thaumic Repairer
The interface and operation of this block is fairly simple. Supply it with vis and place items you wish to be repaired on the left. The device will slowly repair them and when done they will be moved to the right. A few things to take note of however:
Enchantments on items will be preserved
Repairing enchanted items is more expensive than enchanting normal items.
Some items are more expensive than others to repair.
put two tools in the crafting table, damaged one gets repaired by the other.

It would be cool if they all did they're own commentaries on it.

Oh god damnit I didn't look and funny how we got it near the same area.
Okay, I can't find the thread for this question but this place should be good enough:
What mods would you guys reccommend [that will work together] to spruce up MineCraft. Thaumcraft and Tekkit Pack look awesome, but I'd like some others. Thanks...

RedPower, Computercraft, and Smart Movements as essentials (to me). The optional Tomes mod, which adds easy writable books, helps too.

Handy ones like Combat Tweaks and Smart Moving are incredibly useful, especially Smart Moving since you can crawl through 1 block openings and climb ledges. Another good mod would be Better Dungeons, that mod adds quite a large amount of content, but is a little OP considering that in some dungeons, you can leave with full sets of diamond tools and armor and on occasion leave with a stack or two of diamonds. At least it matches out with difficulty though.
Is it normal to a find Huge ass trench in a small lake?

Better Dungeons also ends up taking a lot of the land, should one decide to keep Dwarven volcanoes. Those things are bad enough already with RedPower, I don't need more volcanoes everywhere.

We'll need a seed and coordinates for scientific purposes.
WOW, that's a damn deep sea; is it modded? It looks deeper than 64 blocks.

They are! So I'm fairly looking forward to paul's one. I hope he'll win.
Im rooting for Seananners or CaptainSparkelz :v:

I believe you can use a thaumic condensor near those obelisks to get a good deal of Vis. But like the other guy said, thats a very obsolete version of thaumcraft. If you wanna try the newer version, go to the technic launcher options, select manual build, and go to the one that says latest(not 7, thats bugged). But you probably want to use a new map, as it's still a dev build.
And yeah, first few nights on technic can be horrifying, mostly due to mo creatures. I assume you havent encountered a wraith yet. Those guys are terrifying.
