For some reason the grass is much more grey than it should be, only when using a texture pack though. Anybody know why?

Its still somewhat green, but it shouldnt be that grey.

Use a different texture pack, the cause is the texture pack you're currently using, it is making the grass greyer.
Probably because you are using custom biomes colours. Don't use this option with your MCPatcher to see if it stop.

I hate to break it to you, but that design on the wiki isn't even close to %80 efficient. There are a whole bunch of saplings that have two torches next to them.
I just spent the day digging a 1.1 kilometer tunnel in my server.
I collected over 12 stacks of iron from it, and spent over 6 stacks on minecart tracks.
All the damned redstone changes are driving me insane, even more so the pistons powering themselves with block updates. Spent like 5 hours fixing my shit, even more time playing with the new additions/possibilities that self powering has.

The mod is Thaumcraft 2, and that's the best pickaxe in the mod.

Collection of mods. Pchan's Airship + Pirates, CraftGuide, Pinkemma's Tomes + Lecterns, RedPower 2, Thaumcraft 2, Rei's Minimap, Computercraft, a terrain generator port, and OptiFine. Try playing on a 1.7.3 map with villages. There are lots of villages in a small radius.
Tried cutting down a tree. One log down and a wolf falls out. :wtc:
It's also amazing how researching lots of dirt and lots of time can finally yield a discovery. The con on this mod is how it makes it sound like there are event flags on when you can craft stuff.
