Accidentally crashed my friends server, I used the /xp command. but I put 50000, but the Max per command is 5000 so it did that 10 times and over loaded it.

So. I've once again come back to minecraft, I've built myself a nice little cabin and the caves i've been spelunking have been REALLY generous for me, shit tons of iron and coal everywhere, with plenty of redstone to boot. I keep digging deeper, constantly picking and choosing what to throw away for more room. I should have left sooner but I got greedy, heard a bunch of zombies and was HOPING to find a dungeon.
Turns out it was just a hallway with three zombies and a creeper, so I backpedal and hack at their shins til they all fall over, as I round the corner of this new hallway, I'm confronted with another creeper. I kill it JUST as it lights its fuse, and I blow up. turns out there was another one sneaking up on me while I was fighting its buddy. So I go back to where I died hoping to recover my shit; it all had despawned.

There are quite a few things on there that should have been sorted out so long ago.
It also reminded me, why are powered minecarts still in the game? Do they have any use at all?
Is there anyway to stop mobs from spawning other than setting it to peaceful? i am making my own NPC's and don't want creepers/zombies etc to spawn

Lower-tier method to moving stuff around without slopes, for when you haven't reached redstone/gold yet.
Although really, if you have enough iron for minecart tracks, why you don't have redstone + gold is beyond me.

Yeah, I use them for transportation on the server. Some tricky people even figured out how to use them with redstone wiring.

Chest finders work by models afaik. In the minecart, there is just the chest model inside the minecart.
