This is going to be the best update ever, i allways thought minecraft was lacking things to find and discover out in the world.

The latest snapshot just makes me yearn for 1.3.
This is gonna be the biggest update for Minecraft
I feel like getting a new texture pack. I want something nice, but fitting to the original theme and style. Any reccomendations?

Some stuff I noticed on the super hostile thread (i know some stuff is late but theres some intresting things, Particularly number 1): So, couple notable things: -Tripwires (Gonna have a playday with these... I think max of 19 blocks long?) -Emerald Blocks -Jungle Temples -Although it's about friggin' time, Redstone clocks that might stop when you leave a world no longer stop. >getexcited -It's now easier to get Silverfish spawn blocks... they have names, and are in creative. -You get the bucket back when using lava in furnaces. -Rain fills up cauldrons -Enchanting improvements (Up to lvl 30, 15 shelves for maximum level, third slot always shows the highest possible enchant, much higher possibility of multiple enchantments) And 4 very notable things: 1. Mobs are now, quote, more aggressive, and difficult... monster infighting is still in, but they're more likely to gang up on you than their brethren. Badass. 2. Water slowly drips through leaves when it's raining. Even a basic jungle lags me to hell... CC2 might have problems with that. 3. You get experience from a bunch of things! Mining, first off... you get no experience with Silk Touch, and more with Fortune. Smelting items gives experience, and as does mining mob spawners. It's also now linear. 4. Ice can work on glass panes and ice.

Reading all of this stuff that's in store for 1.3 reminds me back when 1.8 was being developed. Nothing but excitement.
1.3's probably the best update after 1.0.
So I'm trying to buy minecraft for a friend of mine, and there doesn't appear to be a paypal payment option anymore. Am I missing something here?
