Wow, you hate snow more than swamps?
...but...but i like swamp biomes.
I don't like that kind of snow biome, the grass jutting up through the snow looks ugly.
snow forest ones look awesome
So much cocoa beans.
What is the most wanted material now in minecraft? I remember it was cocoa beans since they could only be found in dungeons/strongholds, what is it now? Besides diamonds of course.
Slimeballs.
I'd say slimeballs since they're hard to farm and are put to good use
I'd say that jungle biomes should be a little bit more uncommon.
Uncommon, but bigger.

I'd be inclined to agree, were it not for the fact that the snowcover on the ground is really patchy because of the trees. I think I recall hearing or seeing something a while back, maybe a mod, that enabled snow to "fall" through transparent blocks, which alleviated that problem.
Also, in terms of valuable things, one would think that they would be emeralds, as they were introduced specifically as a form of currency and aren't terribly easy to acquire.
I like this. I just like reading the posts :L
How would I be able to change my Minecrafts account password without an email? The one I used is deactivated, and I forgot the password to my Minecraft account.
Had a full inventory of coal and made a lava "waterfall" nearby my house. You can guess the rest.
Oh yeah, those 70 levels worth of experience went to shit too.

Try emailing support and proving you own the account.
I wish my damn minecraft worked!

Thanks for the help, I was able to find a code for Java that would decrypt login details from the lastlogin file, and was able to gain the password and change it.
Yesterday I decided to finally get round to defeating the Enderdragon. I suceeded, and it dropped its 20000 xp as expected. What I forgot, however, is that the xp levelling in 12w22a is linear.
Hello level 1,178.
Large biomes should really be the regular size of biomes, they're too small as they are right now.

Large ocean biomes.
nope
Anybody know of a way to speed up the building process of large structures? Building walls around my fairly large settlement would take ages, so I was wondering if there was an external tool or something that basically allows you to copy/paste blocks to speed up the process of building large structures out of the same material.

Thanks, downloading it now. Hopefully it'll work, because I really want to get a start on this without wasting time on plain old borders.

Man this is great, can't believe I only just found out about it.
oh god, me and friends (2) went out on a mining trip far away from our server's base (far away meaning 3-4 relatively large biomes across? cannot recall specifically how far away we were in coordinates. we made base out there and everything and we were about to head back with our loot and we saw one more path leading down into a completely different cave system so we went "meh, why not" and just look into it. it led down to absolutely nowhere so I backtrack up a bit and see a 1x1 path. dig through that, go down in a small cave passage, and guess what I see.
...stronghold stone.
since we were in teamspeak I instantaneously freaked the FUCK out and yelled "HOLY SHIT" at the top of my lungs
tl;dr best feeling ever to naturally come across a stronghold without ender pearls y/y, I have no idea how commonly this kind of thing gets posted here and my apologies if it is a lot, but I was and still slightly am thrilled because of this
What sort of buildings should go in my settlement? I have a keep/castle at the back with a clocktower in it, a prison and farm near it, a fourth of it is taken up by houses near the front, a fountain in the middle, and a blacksmith near the houses.
[editline]4th June 2012[/editline]
I guess if you had to give the style I'm going for a description, it would be industrial mixed with medieval. As in, forts, blacksmiths, walled off, but with sections, large buildings, and more 'modern' blocks.
I love frames.

When I play minecraft without sounds I get a solid 40 fps but if I turn on sounds it drops to about 10 fps. Is there anything that can fix this?

Creepy little thing for an adventure map or something

Made with dispensers, mob eggs and splash potions of fire resistance.

Do this with zombie pigmen, they don't burn and people will usually hit them before they're fully out of the lava anyway, at which point they'll all aggro. If you have it set up so that more than one set spawn (either via timers and initial shutoff or via multiple rows), they'll still be fighting the first set when the second set spawn - causing them to aggro too. I wish if zombie pigs get hit by an arrow dispenser that'll make them aggro the nearest player. If another player is nearby in multiplayer they'll kill one after the other even if the second player didn't touch them.
One day I will be able to make my Helsinki cathedral look like this:

Probably later than late. But goddamn this is fun.
You and 149 others start spawn in the middle on a 500 by 500 map. You all have a class.
Two minutes of invincibility to run away and gather supplies. Then the fight to the death begins.
After 20 minutes a whole bunch of diamond armor and swords appear at the spawn and it's a blood bath.
Lots of fun with other people as well.
Ever since i've been playing with mipmapping and AA, i can't understand how people can live without it.
