I kinda wish Notch still worked on minecraft, it was buggy and slow but the friday updates were always special, and got exciting about the smallest things, like stairs and fences Meh, minecraft felt more closer to the heart when it was notches project, but I'm glad jeb is advancing it at the same time
Sounds like nostalgia to me. I have to admit with Notch minecraft did seem really balanced as far as the feeling of the game went (Something turns me off about everything Jeb is adding, I'm not sure why but it messes with the feeling of the game for me (Not that that's a legitimate reason)), but Jeb is far more productive, and is far better at coding in general (You have to give him credit; he did mainly C++ before getting into Mojang, at which he pretty much had to learn Java just to work on minecraft, and he still does it better than Notch.

It should only take a few hours, not even that.
The whole development of the game still irritates me a bit. As a survival game I wish there were more uses for items rather than such a linear path. There's almost no use for a lot of items like leather (although with book writing that's changed I suppose), eggs are only used for cake, etc. I can't believe it would be too hard to add a few more food items, aesthetic things...
anybody wanna play some nintendo (i got bored waiting for a server to come back up)
ugh, whenever i try to play minecraft anymore in survival and build a house i just get bored and quit after five minutes how do i fix this
ugh, whenever i try to play minecraft anymore in survival and build a house i just get bored and quit after five minutes how do i fix this
You have multiple solutions. Don't play singleplayer if you are. Be creative and put effort into a massive project. Mod the hell out of your Minecraft. If none of that tickles your fancy, stop playing MC for a while and come back when you're more interested in it.
Tried coming back to it; I don't care for mods, and none of my friends play mp that often anymore either.
then don't play with your friends. just go to a random server.
Tried coming back to it; I don't care for mods, and none of my friends play mp that often anymore either.
Play 2b2t [editline]3:46[/editline] I like the new LAN feature, except my friend says I randomly became invisible. He couldn't see me or my name, but he could see blocks that I placed and he took damage when I hit him. Anybody else find bugs yet?
The only problem I have with continuing to play Minecraft is the constant need to copy+paste all my builds into new terrain generated worlds so I can continue playing them without feeling like I am playing an old version of the game.
Okay, so, apperantly having a house 2k away from spawn in the middle of nowhere does not help you from griefers. My animal farm was killed and my mineral chests were emptied. Oh well, most of the stuff there was stolen / xray-d anyways.
I am trying out the Quad Mountain Survival map, built a shelter which I'll expand gradually inside the spawn mountain, it has 3 furnaces a workbench and a large chest and windows built into it to scout the islands around, also, Sonic Ether's Shaders would look so good if it wasn't for the grain and transperency glitches that happen from time to time. maybe less bright days, aswell. I like how Minecraft sometimes has this oldschool feel. For example, chances of cat comming out after getting tamed, meeting a creeper hit by lightning, kind of reminds me of those old Gameboy games. I'd love Jeb trying to make this feel bigger.
"The /tp command now allows teleporting to specified coordinates." Finally!
Just discovered the Survival Games, and some nice servers for it. It's awesome.
Tried coming back to it; I don't care for mods, and none of my friends play mp that often anymore either.
If you're willing to play with mods you should try out my server. /shameless self advertisement
BuildCraft is a bad mod and is being killed by RedPower's new additions. I would play on your server but it's literally the exact same as Tekkit (without Tekkit launcher working for your server). Even Technic Pack is removing BuildCraft next update because it's being phased out with all the fancy RedPower stuff

And BuildCraft has better pumping than RP2. Besides Forestry needs BC2 stuff.
That's true but I'm usually just too lazy to install all those mods and Tekkit works wonders. Not to mention Tekkit already removed Forestry
That's true but I'm usually just too lazy to install all those mods and Tekkit works wonders. Not to mention Tekkit already removed Forestry
Why, Forestry is amazing.
Tekkit is shit though, everyone knows installing manually is the best. And BuildCraft has better pumping than RP2. Is it only me who thinks that minecraft kinda dug itself into a hole it can't get up from? Like The End-update. The end doesn't make any sense, its too easy, boring and ugly. Only removing this would make the whole game make much more sense. But it would look so weird having a feature remove in update that only adds stuff; aka "the hole it cant get up from". And its the same with parts of the new world generation, villagers, endermen, enchanting and alchemy. Its all so inconsistant and sloppy, and looks like its just some mod slapped on to almost follow what only Notch/Jeb/The general public had in mind, instead of following the game, the story, the challanges and goals. Is it only me?
I like The End. It's ugly, yes, but it gives you something to look towards doing if not building, and it does have a fair bit of growth room if it calls for the Skylands - killing the Dragon could cause the land to convert itself and begin regenerating any empty chunks or as-yet-unloaded chunks with the Skylands generator instead.
how so? isn't buildcraft the machines and stuff while redpower adds basically wires and hollow blocks and panels?
Nope. RedPower is so much more. It adds water pumps, grates (that will containers with water source blocks, better than buildcraft) and tons of other stuff.
Speaking of redpower I made a concept infinite storage unit I made a version where you could request items out of it as well but it's a giant mess.
Why, Forestry is amazing.
isnt it because the forestry creator hated technic/tekkit and put some shit in his mod to make it unusable with technic related stuff
isnt it because the forestry creator hated technic/tekkit and put some shit in his mod to make it unusable with technic related stuff
I think so.

Are all the mods like buildcraft or industrial craft and that jazz not too complicated? I don't like to be bothered around with Redstone too much, so I wonder if I'd feel the same with that.
