I have 2 Minecraft accounts, and when i ALT + TAB to the other one it pauses the other one.
But that mod SHOULD prevent it.
Any ideas?

I wish my worlds were like that, it goes from Jungle straight into desert or snow world, Jungle straight into Swamp in a way that looks just plain horrible. There was also snow straight into desert.

I wish my worlds were like yours, the current server my friend and I are playing on together opens up with ice, snow, hills, and desert. We had to wander like Neanderthals for the first two days searching for a place that wasn't ice fields. Eventually we settled at the edge of a plain in a forest, but the area around it is quite dull and just has more tundra/plains. At least there's a village and an abandoned mine only a biome away. One day I decided to travel through the Nether and open a portal leading to elsewhere. I ended up about 2000 blocks away from our house and the only thing besides snow and plains I found on the way back was a tiny jungle with a river alongside it.
We did end up with a stack of chicken each from the nomadic experience however.
Also, jungle/tundra boundaries look cool anyway. Too bad swamps are so boring, as are plains.

I like plains, nice open spaces to build castles and small villages. I like them even more if they lead into huge forests like the picture I quoted, or maybe swamps perhaps.
The moment I posted this my minecraft seed made a large plain connected into a swamp, how nice.

What is the [I]absolute[/I] lowest specs minecraft will run on?
Currently im on a small linux ubuntu laptop with Intel Atom, 1 GB Ram, and integrated graphics.
Could I get at least 20 fps if I use Optifine?

I much prefer jungles and mountains over flat biomes even though they're more difficult and dangerous because they look nicer IMO and it's easier to hide in them.

this map is now unplayable because all the drops and flowing liquids and shit make it run at about 1 frame per 3 seconds
just wait it out and the lag will go away.

Just wanted to see if someone has done the same thing. I find installing things on ubuntu a bit clunky and takes some time, but I will try now.

Those red stripes are actually sight-seeing balconies. I walked around the one in the middle, but the view from the smaller one above it was covered in fog and smog. However, making a balcony comfortable like that would be very bulky.
Chests are atrociously laggy in the new snapshot. I almost thought they didn't work at all when I tried opening the bonus chest, then when I had walked away the game froze and the chest UI appeared.
Edit: They seemed to be fine as time went on in the game, so idk if this is a universal symptom.

I noticed that too, but I closed the chest and opened it again and it appeared to work fine from then on.
I'm tempted to buy a server and host it and try something new. I want to try running a Post Apoc server. No, it isn't just vanilla with guns. Basically, it would be all hand done by me through my mods and involve the players starting off in randomly generated cities. It would run on the snapshot so server texture packs would be implemented, and the server would implement custom mobs and a much higher difficulty in general.
