Needs to be like this for maximum overdrive enchanting: [t]http://www.minecraftwiki.net/images/a/a5/Books_optimal.png[/t] Alternatively, you can cut the top layer of bookshelves off if you're using the 1.3 snapshots. [editline]dicks[/editline] Have you guys read about the API meeting? Here's a list of stuff that's going to be added. Mojang Issue Tracker API suggestions More detailed changelog, including changes that might break developer’s work Minimise backwards incompatible changes Making the client a true client Online repository of mods Getting data from a trusted source when joining a server requiring a mod Possible third party repositories, with nagging Sandboxing of plugins on client/server (with possible user-accepted breakouts) Change Minecraft to stop trusting user input (fixes all current exploits other than x-ray) Getting custom assets Add new features to API over time - idea being to not need to break open the JAR file Technical Nit-picking. Corosus woke up. Content distribution. Native support for larger than 16x16 texture packs. Variable texture sizes also available - any block texture can be any size. Native MipMap support. Future plans to deprecate OpenGL 1.x, and use more advanced rendering features in OpenGL 2.x Localization: For plugins. http://tiny.cc/minecraftsummary
Does the bold sentence mean that hacking with third party programs will be almost completely useless? Like will prevent aimbot, free cam. all that shit?
It will pretty much prevent flying and speed hacking, aimbotting is harder to prevent and free cam is a client side thing so that'll still work.

continuing from my last post, I finally finished the bridge to the desert island in the far left of the isles.

also explored a little bit more, and found land.

planning on building bridges to go to the other islands.

Wonder if it will fix the easy ass clock control hack.
Where to find some building inspiration? Yea google images, but everything i search is so original and something that has been done a million times before.

Happy 4th of july from Minecraft [editline]4th July 2012[/editline] oh man, i just noticed this
So I just got back into the game. First map I spawned in....I spawned underwater. Completely underwater. I surface, and look around. There is no land at all. I swam around for a while, and all I found was 2 single blocks of sand. Nothing more at all...I know I was trying to get an islands map, but this is ridiculous. Seed is -2917388071108362099

My progress on my base (Large tower is Etho's design for a stackable mob tower, Building with the giant Cauldron is my alchemy base, the area with the wooden floor has villager markets and is built to look kind of village-like, the big building with the farms on top is storage room/mini farms, the base on the mountain is my luxary resort)
Used Xpadder, an adapter and a PS2 controller and decided to play minecraft using a controller This shit's hard But it's way easier than the xbox version with it's stupid backwards crafting menu, I open the menu and just guide the mouse around with the right stick, it's really easy
It's been a while since I made a skin, anyone got any requests or suggestions?

Will there be a snapshot today?
Have the ASOIAF pics been posted?
So I wonder what will be in Today's Snapshot, if there is one. Probably just bug fixes.

I haven't tested the snapshot yet (god damn it's fucking 12:36AM I need to sleep you cunts) but does the multiplayer browser scan for LAN servers?
Yes.

Extra Full Changelog:
Boats, when broken, now drop boats - Thanks Dinnerbone for the tip! Re-added debug graph on F3 menu Signs are stackable now Crafting them now gives 3 signs instead of 1 Stack up to 16 Added /debug command to enable and disable profiling Changed a few things around pistons - Most contraptions still work fine, but some require changes to repeater delays and similar. Overall, pistons should have fewer bugs, but will appear to update slightly slower. Improved performance on MP and SP, including reduced CPU, RAM & bandwidth requirements When opening SP worlds, users are now given their local IP address & port instead of hostname & port to avoid OS conflicts Creative mode inventory now shows potion effects Fixed some bugs: Fixed /kill not working Fixed powering specific glitched pistons crashing the game Fixed a visual bug causing pistons to be partially invisible or in the wrong location momentarily Fixed being able to place portals in the nether in locations where they would end up in illegal locations in the overworld Fixed the game crashing when publishing SP worlds with certain language settings Fixed players on minecarts, boats or pigs and spider jockeys not being displayed in the correct location Fixed a bug with dispensers Fixed /say not accepting some strings form the console, often triggering the help dialogue Fixed being able to transmute blocks to certain data values using an orientation-dependant tripwire bug Fixed drinking potions in creative not consuming the potions, but still giving empty bottles Fixed signs sometimes not saving the text when placing them
Sauce
I hope it doesn't break AA. OptiFine's mipmapping does, so you have to use OptiFine's AA, which is incredibly slow.
I doubt it would. Good thing is that with mipmapping you probably won't find the need to use AA since a ton of the texture aliasing is going to be gone. Running in a semi-decent resolution would be fine. But put another way, if they actually are considering mipmapping now, we may find native MSAA/FXAA/MSAA in 1.4 perhaps.
So, using the seed "In The Valley of the Ancients", I came up with this; A pretty fancy seed if I do say so myself. And the snowy forest behind me stretches out for quite a while.
Seems my computer doesn't like rain or snow when running the 'unbelievable shaders' mod for Minecraft. [t]http://i.imgur.com/vln6l.jpg[/t]
