What does Mine and Blade do in a nutshell? I like the name.
A lot. It adds a ton of RPG mechanics to minecraft and it is pretty awesome, I am horrible at explaining things, so lets just say you should definitely give it a try to get a taste of it yourself, I don't really think you'd be disappointed, unless you dislike RPGs.
I love RPGs.
What does Mine and Blade do in a nutshell? I like the name.
Well I'll give an explanation a shot. From what I understand (based on my observations; RaptorRed makes it sounds like there's more that I'm missing) it adds specific weapon slots and new, slightly more powerful melee weapons to the game, as well as a quiver for arrows that greatly expands your ammo capacity. There are three pairs of slots for weapons, and a slot can be filled by a combination of things such as dual-wielded weapons (e.g. two swords, two axes, a mace and a sword), a bow (which automatically takes the quiver as the "other hand" item) and a combination of a shield and some other weapon. The shield isn't just a passive damage-sponge; you have to use it in order for it to block damage but it takes all incoming damage when you do, and you can knock enemies back with it. I actually don't play many RPGs but I found this interesting. It frees up your main inventory bar for stuff like building and food and whatever else.
What does Mine and Blade do in a nutshell? I like the name.
Holy hell, I just noticed my mistake. my bad, I confused Mine and Blade with Hack/Slash/Mine, how did I make such a mistake is beyond me. Mine and blade gives you the ability to dual wield weapons/tools/items and it adds shields, spears and maces as well as waraxes, it's pretty cool. and pretty useful, it also adds a quiver, as well as banners and a new set of armor. also allows you to craft chain to make chainmail armour Hack/slash/mine is completely different and that is the mod that adds a ton of RPG Mechanics. You guys would have to forgive me on this one, ever since I finished school and what with me not doing much nowadays and with me having to do mandatory military service very soon, my mind is a bit disorganized, so I make such mistakes frequently. It's not like me to mix different mods together and have people expect something that they'd end up not getting and end up disappointing them :v:

Kinda gets on my tits that this subforum doesn't get as much attention as it should.
Ah, I miss the days back when almost every mod user pissed themselves for the Aether. Shame it only lasted a couple of versions.
Kinda gets on my tits that this subforum doesn't get as much attention as it should.
What would you suggest. We're not even a subforum. We're a complete section.
Ah, I miss the days back when almost every mod user pissed themselves for the Aether. Shame it only lasted a couple of versions.
It was teased as being pretty great, but the devs turned out to be dicks and the mod itself didn't exactly hold its own.
It was teased as being pretty great, but the devs turned out to be dicks and the mod itself didn't exactly hold its own.
I think it wasn't that bad. Much better than The End if you ask me.
I will report you for spamming the thread. Consider this your first and only warning. UPDATE: I have been requested to stop doing this by the moderators. It seems they don't care that these people are both creating work and annoying the heck out of both me and others on the forums.
I seriously hate this fucking ridiculous ego-boosting mentality most mod creators have.
Ah, I miss the days back when almost every mod user pissed themselves for the Aether. Shame it only lasted a couple of versions.
It's supposed to be updated for 1.2.5 soon. ...just before the 1.3 update comes out, apparently. :v: But really, it was a neat mod. Bit of a heavyweight, but cool nonetheless, and it added so many blocks to build with, along with new mobs to fight. My only beef with it was how easy it was to get knocked off a fucking island by those goddamned cloud-shooting things.

I'd rather just get Pchan's Airship and deal with the clouds.
1.3 is gonna be a bad version for modding: No mod API (which isn't going to do anything but fuck stuff up) plus 100% broken mods. [editline]12th July 2012[/editline] Oh, and because the mod api is coming out "next version", nobody will bother making mods.

Isn't emerald supposed to be rarer than diamond? I've beneath a ravine and have found 6 emerald
Isn't emerald supposed to be rarer than diamond? I've beneath a ravine and have found 6 emerald
Just because it's statistically rarer doesn't mean you won't find any. I've found diamonds just by going down into ravines too. (Woe to anyone who falls down from the surface into a ravine that has its floor at layer 12.)
I think maybe the rarity of emerald was lessened with the new snapshot, I just went through a cave and found 13 exposed without mining.
It was teased as being pretty great, but the devs turned out to be dicks and the mod itself didn't exactly hold its own.
Which is why we're not teasing Almost Dead a lot, and we're working on keeping everything we said it'd have.

Any time there is a release, both version are broken anyways. This is still progress and will make modders lives easier I'd imagine. And will unify mods. Might help compatibility too. I hope Dinnerbone gets some more progress on multithreading.

Minecraft.. Without minecraft.. One week.. Goodbye cruel world. :suicide: Oh and did the Linux section get removed? Does anybody know?
Minecraft.. Without minecraft.. One week.. Goodbye cruel world. :suicide: Oh and did the Linux section get removed? Does anybody know?
It's like there's times I play it to try to build functional things. And it looks the Windows, Apple, Linux, and Google sections got removed.

reached The End now being chased by about 30 fucking endermen is not fun
reached The End now being chased by about 30 fucking endermen is not fun
Dig yourself a 2-block deep hole, put a half-slab on the bottom, put another block above the top with enough room for your head to poke out. You are now theoretically untouchable.
