I produced a video on AntiAliasing in Minecraft for Nvidia. No partners on YT had made one so I thought it would be a good investment. For performance numbers, you can check the description.
It'd be cool to be able to coax your sword with poison potions, and depending on the strength it will last for a certain amount of strikes.
I'm working on a mod that adds a load of enchants, potions and weapons. This included.
Piston camo?
A piston with etc stone around it makes it look perfectly like a stone block, maybe some small not detectable textures off, but it work's exactly like a piston would.
Just thought of the idea, came from the crapper :v:
Anyone else think the weapon mod might as well be implemented in minecraft?

Cracked server?
I would love to do that, How? Only I can think of is if it is cracked.
What would you all like out of the Nether?
I'd like some sort of demonic serpent that lives in the magma seas. Like the Magmoor (Metroid Prime)!
What would you all like out of the Nether?
Less ghasts. More things to gather like ores. More types of land formations. Less ghasts. More demonic mobs to make it live up to its "hell" biome name. Lava rain. Lower Norfair theme. Way less ghasts.
Also I think it would be interesting to have a volcanic Overworld biome that looks similar to the Nether.
Currently the only reason to go to the Nether is to find a fortress that might have a Blaze spawner so that you can get blaze rods so you can make Eyes of Ender, along with harvesting some potion ingredients. It's almost like a chore, and once you've gotten your stuff, there's really no reason to go back except for ingredient gathering. It would be nice if there were more dungeons and more mobs, maybe even different randomly generated structures, something that makes it worth exploring to the same degree that the surface is worth exploring.
Come to think of it, I wouldn't be surprised if there were dangerously radioactive areas in the Nether. A type of radioactive cloud could make things interesting- like the overworld clouds, but greenish and dangerous to walk through that could poison you. Or a kind of acidic/lava rain as mentioned above.
Or would that be too tedious to deal with?

Radioactive clouds in a lava environment doesn't exactly make sense in my opinion.

Acidic?
Or it could just be pockets of really, really hot air. Considering all the... lava and such.

It'd be nice to have a game that realises that the air around hot things is also hot.
I'd love if the terrain would generate a bit different. It's pretty generic, most biomes look the same.
I'd love it if every world would be it's own little unique pearl.
Or at least raise the sea level to 128 instead of 64 and hide treasures in the ocean.

Having a volcanic Overworld biome just game me an idea. The Nether is supposed to be hell, right? So why do we have to use a portal to get there...? What if in the Overworld biome, there's a gigantic volcano. If you have the right item, you can fall through the lava, and down into hell.
Or at least raise the sea level to 128 instead of 64 and hide treasures in the ocean.
Or 80, that is a pretty good height
No snapshot this week?
Jeb or Dinnerbone said that there won't be any snapshots until 1.3.
I finally have Minecraft after a long time just looking at videos and wondering if I should get it and if it would entertain me enough to justify the price.
I quite like it.
I'm using the beta snapshots, are they generally bug free? I haven't crashed a single time (no mods nor texture packs, mind you) either official or beta version, also, is that "MCpatcher" good to use ? I've read it's needed for some texture packs.
Also a side question, is posting a screenshot of the town a-okay or is it too unoriginal in this thread?

Go ahead and post it, I'd like to see it.
For anyone that's had to contact support with an issue with your account, how long did it take for them to get back to you? It's been two weeks without a response.

I've always thought nether portals would be cooler if they acted like Portal's portals. So there is no loading screen and you just have to walk through the obsidian like a doorway. You would also be able to lay tracks through them and monsters would be able to walk out of them too. I know it will never happen though, it probably isn't possible with minecraft's engine.
Pretty sure there was a mod like that. And i'm pretty sure you can change the world height now, all you'd have to do is move the regular world 128 blocks up, generate nether in the empty space below and then do some magic with mobspawning
I wonder if you could place the Nether below bedrock and then have access passages through the bedrock to the Nether, like volcanoes.
Quite tempting to try.

i'm pretty sure someone did something like that. It kind of ruins the fast travel aspect of it though.
