I don't think it uses it, It more likely that its just the equivalent of 1.6/1.7.3. And land generation is a fickle mistress without the exact same generation code, if it is different I'll have a look how the xbox saves worlds and if its the same as what we use on the PC I'll try and move it to the PC. No promises though!
[thumb]http://puu.sh/LPG7[/thumb][thumb]http://puu.sh/LPGn[/thumb] [thumb]http://puu.sh/LPGG[/thumb] HELP! They are after me! (I think I my keyboard macro was a tad fast for the game to keep up.)
I'll have a look how the xbox saves worlds and if its the same as what we use on the PC I'll try and move it to the PC.
They're saved as a single .dat file, No idea if some programmer will need to make a conversion program to fit it into the current land gen format, or if its just a bunch of zipped region files. I uploaded the files here, this is both the pre piston world and the current version of the world in case someone wants to look into converting it, if you do want to try your hand at converting it, they don't exactly make a secret of the region file format for the PC, you might have to dig around for the xbox one though. (it could be the same just compressed!) So as it stands, If you can't just downgrade your minecraft and see if the worlds are the same (I doubt they will be), only option is to convert it from the xbox .dat file. EDIT: I've managed to find a tool that supposedly decompresses the savegame.dat and I'm currently looking for a converter, I've re uploaded the save games with the decompressed counterparts in case there isn't a converter and someone wants to take a crack at it. Grab it Here

I'm pretty sure it is the same generation code, aside from world-limiting for the 1000x1000 thing
Just had a look into it and you're correct, Tried two different seeds (one even spawned me in the exact same spot on both versions). So basically, you need to downgrade to 1.7.3, explore the land you want to use, update back to 1.2 probably updating the chunks to Anvil then download either a mod or a NBT editor to change it to creative mode, make sure you explore all the map you want to keep from the 1.7.3 generation though.
Man normal minecraft is dark and excusable but that obsidian is just fucking technicolor. Kids these days don't even know what obsidian actually is

Only certain blocks get that privilege.
Xbox 360 uses 1.6 of Minecraft, but 1.7.3 should also work fine.
it just updated a couple of days ago to 1.7.3
What world does "gargamel" give on the 360?
What world does "gargamel" give on the 360?
The original gargamel world. Currently the Xbox version's terrain generation is the exact same as it was in pre-1.8.
Not related to Tekkit, but I made another hardcore world two days ago, and it was going rather nicely. Had melons, pumpkins, a nice wheat farm, nearly 50 diamonds, came across 7 dungeons, had a nice blaze farm in the nether and I was working on getting Ender pearls for the stronghold. Well, down in a ravine, I took just a few seconds to stretch; while looking out over a lava spring. A skeleton shot me in the lava, though thankfully I had a water bucket on me and removed the lava, but then ran around on fire watching my precious hearts disappear. I then went in a little hole and died. [img_thumb]http://puu.sh/LLNd[/img_thumb] Though quite mad and sad, I'm smiling since I had a great time getting to where I was, and will do it again some day.
If you had a water bucket, why didn't you use that to put the fire out?
If you had a water bucket, why didn't you use that to put the fire out?
You know I thought about what I could have done... and I could have waded out of the lava and lived, then put myself out, or instead of freezing from panic of burning, I could have ran back the way I came, maybe 30 blocks, and jump in water. I lost my water due to instantly using on the lava so I wouldn't melt, I did it before I thought about it.
Just played Hunger Games for the first time and won. I had an iron sword and the feast king or whatever had full diamond and diamond enchanted sword.
I miss Glacier. Building a house on the floating island near spawn, building a giant compass around it, etc.
Why did they change how the landscape is generated? Going from things that frankly inspired awe to mostly flat and uninteresting just seems like something they'd want to look into and, you know... reverse. Edit: No seriously why did they choose to do this. Have they ever mentioned it?
Does anybody know of a multiplayer skyblock server?
A thousand blocks is not that much, and if you would spare it you could just use MCedit and move your spawn or player closer.
I tried doing so but I couldn't find the place. Ah well, I'm over it now. At least it wasn't like 20,000 blocks or something.
found a nice little seed with a zombie spawner extremely close. pretty damn hard to get to it though, seeing as though there's one opening, and half of it is flooded with the ocean. -3391516459682398806 is the seed.
So, I haven't played minecraft in like forever and I don't know what's come out since 1.0 pretty much. So what's new?
Alright, according to the wiki, a LV Solar Array outputs 8 EU/t, and an electric engine requires 6 EU/t. So why is this not working? I tried putting it farther away and connecting it with a wire, no luck. What does it take to get this thing running? (using technic pack, probably should have said that first)
That's just a single solar panel, not an LV array.
That's just a single solar panel, not an LV array.
If I right click it it says "LV Solar Array" on the top. http://technicpack.wikia.com/wiki/LV_Solar_Array#Low-Voltage_Solar_Array
This is one helluva weird village

IE tall mountains in mountain biomes, wide plains, etc. It used to be where the biome just meant the color/block types instead of the formations. I do wish they made a "Mystic" biome that had green grass and really warped and mountainous terrain like it used to be.
Is the engine turned on? (Redstone signal)
Whoops :v: But what happens when it reaches bedrock, does the engine overheat, or does it only draw power when it's running?
Whoops :v: But what happens when it reaches bedrock, does the engine overheat, or does it only draw power when it's running?
I think it'll keep running, but electric engines will shut off if they get too hot, and cool down before running again. So nothing to worry about.
I wanted to use mycelium and paintings in a base, so I tested it in creative.
