Wow, apparently someone changed my password on my Minecraft account, yet when I enter my email into the forgot password thing, it won't send. Anyone know what I should do?

Will you let me join the server?

Wait wait wait wait wait. Does this mean that as of 1.2 I will no longer need to construct a 10 cubic meter device every time I make a light switch?
Aswell as the above awesome shit, Jeb has said that the maps are higher, and not deeper, and that the cloud level is remaining the same, meaning we can build above the clouds.
If you're doing a 10 cubic meter device to make a light switch you're not doing it right
They should make it that the light lever that reaches the light sensor is how many redstone levels it transmits, like if the block is at light level 4 it transmits 4 redstone out, and if it's 15 it transmits 15 out.

If you percept everything literally you're not doing it right
Will you let me join the server?
It will be whitelisted when it's up for the "public"!
Might let some people in beforehand to make sure everything works and possibly finish the village too.

Wwwwacky Wednesdays?

So for pocket edition, I can connect to a lan server where it's my computer right?
Let me get this straight. Te next snapshot.
4096 Block IDs
256 height limit
Ability to directly mod biomes with tools.
Lamps
Tomorrows update sounds neat.
4096 block ids?
Mods won't be a problem ever again!
Now if only we can get that mod API.
So, I'm getting into redstone and I have a question: How do I get two pistons stacked on top of eachother to cycle on the same lever?

If you get a repeater to power the top one, it will power both.
Yay, the repeater thing worked. Thank you.

Redstone is so addicting. Shit's like crack.
Redstone (and all 'tinkering' in general, as I like to call it) is one of the best parts of the game. If you include mob systems, farms, etc, it becomes a game of making things more and more efficient, and after doing said things in a legitimate way it opens up so much more to do in the game.
I personally think that if you automate everything such as mobs drops and the like, it removes challenge and fun from the game once you don't need to explore to get the things you need, at least in my opinion.
It does indeed, however the efficiency race does make up for that quite well in my opinion.

I like to tinker and build, so automating things (especially through RedPower) allows me to automate the more mundane bullshit (farming, sorting, etc.) so I'm free to do other things like build, tinker with more machines, and explore.
"But why not just play Creative if that's all you want to do? :downs:"
Because gathering all the resources in order to even START automating things is almost half the fun, and building it all as well!
Can anyone tell me how many blocks I need to drop cave spiders for them to have one heart so I can just punch them for XP? I know 23 is enough for Skeletons, but I think cave spiders have less health. I remember Etho talking about something like 14 blocks or so?
The calculation is (distance-3)/2=health to kill a mob. A cave spider has 12 so it will be 25 blocks to get it to 1 hp.

I refuse to think that until we get some sort of comment on sprite indices. I have asked him, but no response...
I know MCF deals with sprite indices, but not every mod uses MCF, so it is still the biggest problem I have.

Cave Spiders need to fall 15 blocks for them to be killable in one punch iirc
Not sure if this is an addition to the game, or just for valentine's day:
