You get more XP for smelting ores. But that's more like mining for XP than it is smelting for XP.

I can't find a village anywhere except on Flat world types. It sucks, because I've never seen a village on a legitimate default map.

without transmutation tables/condensers/collectors/relays/mining tools (destruction catalyst and such)/swiftwolfs rings mainly because they're OP
so it'll have EE
it'll hvae endgame
but you have to work for it. I'll probably disable the furnaces, pedestals, and diving rods aswell.
nothing else though
rest of EE is fine,

Gold has a higher enchantability. I assume it's an attempt to justify how hard it sucks balls. I used a level 50 enchant (pre-1.3) on a diamond pick and got Efficiency IV. I used a level 45 enchant (apparently it has the highest chance of getting Fortune IV) and got Eff. IV and Fortune IV. Talk about broken.

I'm making a quarry but I'm going to make a weird one. Lots of wood and trees and stuff. It will be pretty, dammit.
Problem is, I want to make a design in wood but without birch planks I only have two colors (default wood and default planks). What should I do? :( I need a third color.
Something I hate about mods is that whenever they need to make an item hard to craft, they always resort to diamonds. Holy shit, try adding something a little more creative than diamonds.

it's not normal lag though.
every couple of seconds, minecraft just stops for a second, then goes back normally, and then it repeats. I doubt it's from the launcher itself.

Go into video options and search around for the autosave timing,that's the problem.
For some people the default autosave every 2 seconds causes major lag.
The drawback is that if your game crashes then the save you come back from will be less recent.

set it up to 30min, still getting lag.

I'm really sure it's from my comp though, because when I press F3, it's using up 96% of my memory.
Damn it, I can't find a mod, a tutorial, or any help of how to increase the mob spawn rate.
There are a lot of threads everywhere, but it always ends up dead without a response.
