why do you need silk touch to pick up an ender chest, thats stupid.
I got on musecraft. I wanted to start my own base far, far away from spawn in the wilderness. My original plan was to use the nether and mine a tunnel, but nether portals don't work. So I'm going to be walking thousands and thousands of blocks. Fuck. This is my inventory (I kind of broke into someone's mines and mined a bit on my own, find a skelly spawner and used it to get a bunch of bones)
So um. I can't figure out what I'm supposed to do with Thaumcraft 2. I'm finding lots of pretty crystals, and I found a weird floating blackholevoidmonolith thing. what am i supposed to do. Also, screw Mo' Creatures. Seriously, I was shitting bricks when I heard the werewolf outside on my first night.
fucking cunt! just spent ages figuring out tekkit, had a few things built, stuff in the furnaces etc and a creeper walks straight through my door and explodes fuck my life

Right-click on those crystals again to collect them in individual pieces. You can farm crystals by crafting crystals together and placing them. To get into the monoliths, you need to research for some sort of goggles. Equip those goggles in the head slot to see symbols on the base of the monoliths. Place each crystal in accordance to color in the corners. Wrong ones explode on you. If you successfully open the monolith, hope you have an easy way back up and down, 'cause it's a steep fall almost directly to bedrock.
Hmm thanks for blinding me with words that I don't know what any of them mean! :D
I'm not too sure if this is common knowledge/practice or not but I just had an awesome idea for keeping a persistent save across multiple computers. All you have to do is setup your world folder as a git repo and throw it on Bitbucket. Oh and am I the only the one that has been having problems with using wheat to get animals to follow me? They follow me for like 15 seconds and then wander off like they have ADD.
Hmm thanks for blinding me with words that I don't know what any of them mean! :D
Then you probably shouldn't be using Thaumcraft 2. The Quaesitum is the research thing which you place an artifact or any item and fuel it with paper. The more valuable the item being researched, the more valuable the theory that may be proposed and the higher the stakes. Theories have difficulty levels. Tortuous is pretty much impossible, so it will be more efficient to keep researching other things until you get a similar theory with a less complex difficulty. Research is all done by the Quaesitum, so you can go handle other tasks while it's researching. If a theory is successful, it becomes a discovery. Right-click with it to discover the recipe of the item. Line up a Quaesitum with bookshelves to make research more efficient like the Enchanting Table. SPOILERS: [sp]Research Zombie Brains to be able to craft Brain-in-a-Jars. These make research even more fruitful than Bookshelves when surrounding the Quaesitum.[/sp]
fucking cunt! just spent ages figuring out tekkit, had a few things built, stuff in the furnaces etc and a creeper walks straight through my door and explodes fuck my life
I spent about 45 minutes completely overhauling a refinery earlier, building 4 combustion engines and using conductive piping to efficiently power it. As soon as I finish it, a creeper explodes and blows up and engine, wasting 2 tanks of fuel and blowing a huge chunk in the refinery infrastructure. I get it rebuilt after another 15 minutes of tinkering, and out of nowhere the levers operating the machines disappear, and I can't turn them back on at all. Ah well, at least it was only a pet project.

This is a pretty amazing seed.

[editline]11th August 2012[/editline] also, you can apparently find lots of emeralds frequently too, from the comment section
This is a pretty amazing seed.
Oh hey, AntVenom. I have talked to him on steam before, long story short, he is an amazing person.
Is the Technic Pack Wiki outdated or something? Because it says that a lot of forestry related things were removed, yet I still have access to them.
Forestry has been removed in the latest version, but a lot of similar items have been added by other new mods (like electric engines), so the wiki is a mess of information abut forestry items and the replacement items.
So I started up my world in Technic Pack, and everything is broken. All mod-related blocks are gone, all my mod-related items in my chests are gone, and there are ducks everywhere. Is there any way I can get my old world back? I sunk a lot of time into it. Also, how can I get rid of these ducks?
Punch fireball. Fireball hits them back in their fat stupid faces.
It seems that if you hit the fireball with your fisties, it has a pretty good chance of not changing course. A sword does deflect it with a 100% rate of success, though, and a bow can actually shoot a fireball and cause it to explode rather than deflect it.

[editline]12th August 2012[/editline] Looking at the thread, the cobblestone looks near exactly the one I made.

Also, I like how in that 'endless mountain' seed, every time he's talking about how "endless" it is, you can see jungles and even an ocean at one point on the side as he avoids them :v:
I wish the game had more rare items. Records really aren't rare anymore, golden apples are make able, cocoa beans are plantable, saddles where never rare, etc. I'd like some items that had next to no use (Where you could do stuff with it, but it was no where near worth the cost it takes to find it) and was made to be kind of a trophy that you can look for and collect. Idunno, I miss getting really excited after finding a golden record in a chest or the rare golden apple.

Just various golden idols you *might* find in old Jungle/Desert temples.
OK, so i made a new minecraft survival map (single player), and, well, it keeps crashing. Giving me "Internal Server Error" I will connect, 1 min later, it crashes. Any ideas?
Relics would be nice. Just various golden idols you *might* find in old Jungle/Desert temples.
I would like to see more things like the Dragon Egg. Has no use aside from displaying your achievement of getting it. Maybe from more bosses, or a super rare dungeon.
Even though you can trade them easily from villagers, finding emerald ore while spelunking is really awesome. Since 1.3 I've only found one emerald while mining.

What do you guys think of this? Skyboxes in Minecraft would be pretty cool. That does look pretty neat.
Skyboxes in the Nether look rather odd considering the whole dimension is meant to be underground.
The End technically already does have a skybox.
