That really isn't a concept, as much as it is a rail taking you to the end portal. There's nothing unique or different about it, it's just a railway going to a certain location.
That's fine if you don't understand it.
No, I understand it, it's just that it isn't a new concept. Other than that it could of at least had a system that picked up the cart after you jumped off of it and plopped it back down on the track to be used again instead of burned.
With the new world format and development on mcedit ceased things are going to be really shitty for a while

That's not what the track would actually look like if you were to put this in your world. The point is that you can choose to enter the end simply by jumping out of the cart in mid air. And you say it isn't new. I've never seen or heard anything about something like this. Care to provide a link?
I was thinking, if Jeb told that one guy on Twitter basically that he had already made a lamp, I wonder if he made any other furniture to go with it as well?

New snapshot: http://www.mojang.com/2012/02/15/minecraft-snapshot-12w07a/
Here’s the development snapshot of week 7, 2012! List of changes: Added new world file format called “Anvil” (256 max height and 4096 block IDs*) Multi-player light calculations do no longer cause affected blocks to be transmitted to the clients, instead the clients will recalculate the light on their own Villagers will repopulate villages based on how many houses there are available Some nights in villages will be worse than others… Added a redstone-controlled light source Decreased chance for the rare mob drops All animals use the new AI system now * The game can’t use the full range of IDs yet because there are still some assumptions that IDs above 256 are items.
Here's the Redstone Lamp recipe: I suggest not hooking them up to a rapid redstone repeater.

Lighting seems a bit broken on the new terrain generation.
What does it mean by "Some nights in villages will be worse than others…"?
What does it mean by "Some nights in villages will be worse than others…"?
Well I just saw a village being swarmed with zombies, they seem to be the only ones hungry for testificate flesh.
The water seems much clearer in the snapshot. Probably a lighting bug: Edit: Actually, the entire world seems lit up. Its daylight in all the caves!
Yeah same here, was testing new lamps, room was always alight regardless of the lamp being there or not.
How do villagers detect if something is a house? Is it possible to build your own houses to expand the village, and they will eventually populate it?
Any enclosed area with a door.
Any enclosed area with a door.
And a light source.

Dat mean look
[editline]15th February 2012[/editline] How about,in Testifisociety, what we consider normal and not completely what-the-shit is considered strange and shunned? For example, sometimes, rarely, you can see a villager without a big nose and noone stops and talks with him, sometimes looking down at the floor sadly,or having their weapons being live chickens attached to sticks(they would call it a "Backorck-smacka" and you could buy it from them, low damage but high knockback and breaks quickly)only wielded by certain, much bigger-eyed villagers with buckets on their heads as helmets that sometimes attack other villagers and noone even stops to look, and they stare at you contemptuously(see above post hehe)when you hold a sword? Edit:Jesus I finally realised that he's holding the chicken by the leg holy shit
Did they break the lighting? Caves deep underground are as bright as the surface!
