Monolith. For your averted eyes, how to access them will be spoilered. [sp]To get in a Monolith, you need to keep researching anything in your Quaesitum until you find something involving goggles. These goggles allow you to see what you need to do on these Monoliths.[/sp]

If the little glowing circles sound like wind chimes, those are wisps. Best not to attack them :P

Wisps are a passive mob that spawn more frequently in areas with high Vis levels, by the way.
The monoliths are fairly endgame stuff when it comes to Thaumcraft, you won't be able to do much with them until [sp]you get some fancy goggles[/sp]

Guys. Is there any efficient way of telling slimes to fuck off on my server? I'm playing on a superflat world and I've built a city, but the motherfuckers keep spawning. I don't want to disable monsters nor animal spawning though, and the Iron Golems sadly don't target slimes.

Worldguard the area and flag it as a no spawn for mobs.

It's amazing how these things work. I can't believe that grass such a common material, would become rarer and more useful then diamonds.
For that experiment to work, you would have to not know of it before hand.

How can I install these cool shader mods with Tekkit? If I try to install it the normal way, it will give me a crash on going to the menu.
