you mean like ?
No, like the math it, for figuring out any circle. That's where I'm stuck.
Like the circumference and area?
Kinda, yeah. Finding it normally is easy, obviously. The issue is figuring out how to apply that to Minecraft and block positioning.
Pi x radius squared is area, Pi x Diameter is circumference. If that is any help to you if you didn't already know.
heres how i remember it
Yeah, I know how to find it normally. But since Minecraft obviously uses blocks, I'm trying to figure out the best way to find where blocks should be placed to make the best circle possible. I could just hardcode a bunch of values in, but that'd be really limiting.
heres how i remember it
Holy shit, is that the actual way you remember it? I finally know I'm not he only person the remember it using that song :v:
Kinda, yeah. Finding it normally is easy, obviously. Experiment with values of t for best preformance and circle quality

What I'm trying to figure out is how to calculate the positions of all the blocks connecting those points.
how many values of t are you using? complete circle is drawn when t is plotted from 0 to 2*pi like so. I find using 8*radius points to plot your circle works nicely.

Recolour half the pixels to make it easier to see them if needed.
Just have to add the GUI and textures. Suggestions for other features or recipes? I might make this into something more if it's popular enough.

And it would stay.
I think it would be neat if you could insert x amount of a material into the system and it would create the circle using that material. And it would stay.
That could probably be done. [editline]21st August 2012[/editline] Any suggestions for recipes?

Done. All I'm waiting on now is textures. There are a couple bugs which I'll try to fix. Mainly changing the radius while the block is on won't remove the previous layout blocks, and sometimes destroying the block won't remove the layout blocks.
I never cared if that's the proper way to say it or not, I'll always pronounce it "Gee-You-I"
I don't care if it's correct or not. It just sounds ridiculous.
Anyone got any name suggestions for a name for a limited world pvp survival server? Basically it's a circular island floating in the void, water around the island running off into the void and you can't leave the island. World will be reset once each week.
About to work on your textures (Block and GUI) dmillerw.
Has anyone here ordered art from WonderCraft ? I did, anyone want to see it? (Normal size of course) EDIT: I will post it tomorrow if anyone wants to see it.

You would think 20$ would be enough for the EPIC avatar. I was hoping to buy that, so i get send it to somebody and get a poster... Ah, a nice 60x40 size poster... Sounds smexy right now... (Ignore my art-nerdness) Anyway, hear it is. [editline]22nd August 2012[/editline]
Anyway, hear it is.
I think it looks SOO awesome.. Kinda annoyed with some of the whitespots, but i can fix it. I like the head, (thats what she said) it looks awesome. Im going to cut the head out and use that for something aswell. But keeping the cape part of course.
holy shit i cant even fight back the spaghetti
