I like how this update seems to be focused on putting useless materials to use. Clay now has more than one use, leather has a ton of uses now, as do dyes, farming isn't as bland as "Farm = wheat" and maps aren't completely useless anymore!
I should not have use the Magic Launcher. Now I keep checking the subreddit. Though it does help since new Forge doesn't work with MCPatcher.

Also now that there's new vegetables, I hope there will be more cooking recipes. As far as implementation goes, adding new recipes is one of the easiest things ever, I don't know why they're delaying it so long.

I have around 50-60 and I can't do shit with them other then throwing them into the pen and getting a few more chickens
Honestly though the possibilities are endless:
sugar + cocoa beans + water on a brewing stand = coffee? (works like a speed potion)
pumpkin + all the items you need to make a cake = pumpkin pie? (you could do the same with some apples and make apple pie i guess)
potato + carrot + bowl = vegetable stew?
milk + cocoa beans = chocolate milk?
Being able to slice bread and make some sandwiches would be nice aswell.

Sandwiches, I feel would be much too complex for Minecraft's style. We need reason to not just eat bread all the time. I don't want some bullshit like "OH LOL NUTRITION U NOT GET ENOUGH PROTEEN U DIE" or any shit like buffs from certain foods (because douchebags who run around in full enchanted diamond armor + potions aren't unstoppable enough already), but a good, nice balanced reason to eat other foods. Maybe eating the same food over and over would eventually start to cause your hunger meter to drop faster/fill less.

Why not just make bread/sandwiches like how you cook meat? you can eat the bread by itself but if you take the time to make a sandwich your hunger bar will fill up more

Because vertically they can't fit in the oven, and therefore don't turn into bread.
If they were gonna go so far as to add bread, I think it'd be cool to be able to build a mechanism for making flower and shit. Then add water and voila.
I really like the idea of building things that do stuff that are bigger than a crafting table, like iron golems. Set up a specific few blocks and it turns into a working machine.
Are there any mods Facepunch would really like to see? I know Loriborn asked this some time ago with some success. I'd be interested in doing the same.
