What would be the best/easiest way to create a village with villagers in the latest snapshot survival? I have a village that is nearby(ish).
Which texture packs go nice with shaders? Maybe something 16x16 which looks fairly clean
Anyone recommends good texture packs? I haven't played in so long but I look at the work people does and some texture packs looks really awesome, I checked around but I'm not sure which one to get.
A big problem with a lot of texture packs is that there's always one or two blocks that don't look the way you want them too and it kind of ruins it for me. I like the painterly pack because it has a consistent theme (Although I do like other texture pack's themes a bit better) and you can make it look pretty close to the default textures (In blocks have the same shape and colors, but it looks less shit). And if there's a certain block texture you don't like, there's like 20 more to chose from. Jeb and dinnerbone should get married someday and have beautiful game developing children. Think how cute it will be, I bet dinnerbone would make the a spelling/math games just for their kid. And then the kid starts an online petition to encourage them to bug fix their games before releasing a patch.
I've tried it before. It's really crappy to be honest. I remember using a really good one. If I remember it, I'll post it.
Eh, it was good enough to make this: [editline]25th August 2012[/editline]
Actually potatoes are a rare zombie drop, but no mob drops any type of seed. For some reason I have a feeling carrots will belong to either spiders or endermen, more likely endermen because spiders already drop 2 things, and you can see their eyes in pitch black.
I can't see spiders dropping carrots making a whole lot of sense.
Maybe in plains biomes you can find potatoes/carrots dug into the ground every so often.
Well all zombies are apparently potato farmers, so maybe villagers should drop carrots?
Or you could buy carrots from them. That'd probably be a good way to make carrots and potatos obtainable alongside dungeons/mineshafts.
Or you could buy carrots from them. That'd probably be a good way to make carrots and potatos obtainable alongside dungeons/mineshafts.
And Melons in jungles. They'd just be under all that shrubbery. Screw trumping kilometers of shafts, make it just as hard by searching under shrubbery.
And Melons in jungles. They'd just be under all that shrubbery.
I don't care where melons would grow naturally, just don't make me tromp through miles of underground mineshafts to find two stale melon seeds after searching five chests.
I'm pretty sure there is no such thing as a potato seed (irl and minecraft) and you just bury one in the ground. Could be the same for carrots.
You're right about the potato (well, they do have seeds, but we plant the tubers because it's easier), but carrots have seeds. So I guess with potatoes you'd stick them in farmland, wait for them to mature, then when you harvest them you get say 2-3 potatoes back.
Potatoes, carrots and melon seeds should all be obtained by buying from villagers, not from pulling them out of a hundred-year-old zombie's rotten ass or finding them in an ancient dusty chest also filled with spider silk and rusty iron in a terribly designed mineshaft. Actually,I'd like it if they were found in both ways(buying and finding from zombies or chests)
How did you get that to happen? Are there settings in flatland generation now?
No, I was just messing around with world gen. I could probably add settings for flatland generation though.
Guys, what shall I build here? name something as fancy as you want, It was originally going to be a library but then I realized the book recipe changed so my reed farm also requires a cow farm and I can't be bothered to make one yet V:v:V So...Name something awesome and your name goes on a sign inside it :>

Also put some iron golems around.

Reminds me of frendens old one. You should make an aqueduct.
Make a Ranch for your cow farm.
Make a small keep/armory and put your weapons and armor inside it. But It'd feel kind of redundant to build another building as this lot is next to my enormous base, expand upon the ranch idea
I think you should be able to trade for crops but also find them growing in the wild occasionally.
What pack is that? Reminds me of frendens old one. You should make an aqueduct.
Cowtoon  I tried that on my old world it just looked out of place
Make sure you have the appropriate version of java, if you have 32 bit windows make sure you have 32 bit java, if you have 64 bit windows make sure you have 64 bit java. You can see both versions here. http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp Your launcher should also be a .exe so it should be Minecraft.exe . Also how much RAM do you have?
I've got 4 gigs. It worked fine before summer, so I don't know what went wrong.
Melons should grow near water in deserts. Would make deserts a little bit more interesting apart from villages and temples. Potatoes in plains, with a little white/purple flower. And if you dig under it with a shovel (must be shovel, for realism, and maybe making more people use wooden shovel at all.) you get potatoes. If you wonder where I got the watermelon-idea from, look at egypt. [IMG_thumb]http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/8/81/2005watermelon.PNG[/IMG_thumb] But I don't know if its greenhouse or not...
I think that randomly spawning villager zombies should be the only ones to drop carrots and potatoes and stuff. Speaking of that, they should also drop some other kind of loot like some emeralds and other standard stuff like wheat or a gardening hoe, but still rare. Also, you should be able to kill villagers and steal some of their stuff. They won't always drop it, it's rare, but if when they do drop stuff it should be some emeralds and something else they had open in trading with you. But while you just got free stuff, the other villagers would get mad at you and the iron golems would try to attack you.
2 SPOOKY [t]http://i.imgur.com/Q4tpQ.jpg[/t]
Let's run that into the ground, shall we? Give it the same fate as the act of the rustling of jimmies? 2spooky4u is almost like mentioning Royzo for skeletons and Ezhik for hedgehogs, but in version 2.0.
How'd I do?
Let's run that into the ground, shall we? Give it the same fate as poor Jimmy Rustling?
If there's one thing Facepunch is good at, it's running this shit into the ground.
