You thought you were safe from 360 no scopes in minecraft. You were wrong.
Dat gerudo valley theme.
No, I didn't do anything. I think the creepypasta will write itself as long as I play. Another weird thing that happened is when I created my first nether portal I spawned inside a block, and I dug up and my portal was cut off 1 block at the top (so I was missing the 4 top blocks) because it was created at the top of the nether. It is extremely foggy there and there were pigmen all around me, and I could see ghasts spawning sometimes. I thought my nether was bugged, but I found a cavern in the end. When I tried to get out, I must have went the wrong way and discovered a nether village (better dungeons mod) and then I fell into a 1 block opening into a sea of lava. I had the first diamond tools that I got on this world, so I cheated myself out of the nether and showed up in the aforementioned village (the one that had people, not the deserted one). That's the way I discovered it by the way, I didn't magically find it again if that's what you think. I slept and treked back to my original house, grabbed the dogs and some goodies, then went to the floating castle. Still not a villager in sight. I'll watch and see if the village with people will also depopulate.
Is anyone else getting extreme lag on certain worlds while others are perfectly fine?
Yes, but luckily for me the one world that seems to work is the one I'm actually working on at the moment.
Since the world height was increased, I thought I might take a whack at recreating the citadel from HL2 (mostly because it's just really tall). Thing is I never realized how goddamn tall it was. Since it's ~2.2km, I can only make a 1/10th scale (above sea level). Darn it Jeb.
God fucking damn, the nether is such a fucking joke with how buggy it is. I portal out of the nether and end up in some random ass cave. I start digging and water comes in. As soon as the water touches lava, the game just quits. No dialogs or anything. The process just ceases to stop running. I get back into the world, my inventory is wiped (last 3 hours in nether is wasted) and I'm at my original spawn point instead of my bed. Good fucking job notch, A+ game.

Just chill for a bit and start again, thats how I dealt with my numerous failures in MC. Look on the bright side too, at least you still have your world and a warm home waiting for you.

I'm just pissed because the nether has been out for at least a year and all these shitty bugs still exist. Not to mention this was my first time back into the nether legitimately since the update came out. Doesn't even matter anymore, I just quit the game and probably won't play it for another couple months. I just needed to rant after wasting 3 hours on nothing.
What's that, you experienced a bug? In Minecraft? How new and exciting.
And.. Have you decided yet?
Yes, on top of the mountain :v:
Yes, on top of the mountain :v:
But the useful materials spawn deep underground. If you start on top of the mountain, all you are doing is pretty much doubling the amount of digging you will need to do to find for example diamond.
At least he gets lodsa stone and probably some coal :v:
I need some helpers on my server! PM me your IGN and previous builds and I'll give you the IP and whitelist you! Progress: [t]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/41041550/2012-02-16_14.45.32.png[/t] [editline]16th February 2012[/editline] You also need Industrialcraft 1.64 and Redpower 2 pre 4d
If the max height is 256, does that mean the ground is at 64 or at 128?
64. [editline]16th February 2012[/editline] Also, should I setup a thread for my server?
64. [editline]16th February 2012[/editline] Also, should I setup a thread for my server?
Awesome.
minecraft lego is available for pre-order, and i must say, i'm a little dissapointed https://www.jinx.com/LEGOMinecraft wait, how are we going to get the 1X1 blocks of each other? it also comes with a Steve and a Creeper minifig it's pretty expensive at £35, not sur ei'll be picking it up, even though i'm a big fan of both minecraft and lego

Aw, thats kind of a disappointment. I was expecting them to be bigger. Although i like the idea of being able to connect several of them into one big.
They're not really minifigs, more like blocks. The creeper's head is a green 1x1 block with a face on it. If thats the only set then I'm thoroughly disappointed.
The chunks aren't even the right dimensions.
Isn't it possible to make day/night detectors using villagers?
That's a brilliant idea! [editline]16th February 2012[/editline] I'll build a prototype. [editline]16th February 2012[/editline] Meh, nvm. Villager apparently can't fight water current.
I love the mojang trailers.
WHY IS HE DANCING
Why aren't you?!
But the useful materials spawn deep underground. If you start on top of the mountain, all you are doing is pretty much doubling the amount of digging you will need to do to find for example diamond.
You're totally right, but the doubled amount of digging gives me a nice ability to make a proper underground base. Also I have never found so much coal before, those mountains are filled with it like holy shit.
