If 4 dynamite sticks = 1 TNT block, you're saving out on 1 gunpowder which is normally used to craft 1 TNT block
Jeb needs to tone down ocean biomes, they generate everywhere and are a huge pain in the ass to cross.
Jeb needs to tone down ocean biomes, they generate everywhere and are a huge pain in the ass to cross.
They're much better than oceans used to be. They used to be "Oh, a puddle, I'll just swim across" Now they're more like something you definately need a boat to cross over. If you're having that much trouble with oceans then you should start setting up a nether travel system.

Especially if I'm on Large Biomes. There needs to be more sea life, though.
I tried out the texture pack, and the chickens are both really funnny, and pretty damn cute.
It's a pretty good pack, if not incomplete. Tamed wolves and the chicken meat textures are the same old, as is armor, but over-all the aesthetic of the pack is pretty nice, I just wish Optifine had a Better Sky option so I could get that awesome skybox. The lava looks pretty meh though, I'll probably replace it with the lava textures from DokuRPG, that shit looked awesome.
I love this guy's work.
I like his pack. [editline]3rd September 2012[/editline]
Jeb needs to tone down ocean biomes, they generate everywhere and are a huge pain in the ass to cross.
Well, Earth is around 70% ocean so I think it just makes the minecraft world feel a little like home.
Also, improved render distance. I hate climbing atop massive mountains to see nearly nothing from the top.
Aye, on a recent map on Age of Mines we created some massive mountains: Impressive enough from the base, but the fact is you can't see them much further away than where I stand in that pic. They should add a silhouette rendering to terrain so past a certain distance you at-least get the IMPRESSION of height, would add a lot to the game I think.
I still like derivations night skybox better. [t]http://i.imgur.com/7C4pR.jpg[/t]
I think it looks to busy. Too much stuff in the sky. Even the stars look big and too much. I prefer a dark sky with discrete stars. I like Derivation, it's my main texture pack, but I don't like the feeling of being the witness of some blurred explosion of colours in the sky.
I still like derivations night skybox better. [t]http://i.imgur.com/7C4pR.jpg[/t]
Looks like a late 90s adventure game.
Looks like a late 90s adventure game.
im ready to lecture you on how much those things still are the shit
im ready to lecture you on how much those things still are the shit
Sometimes I wonder if a simplified version of Minecraft could be developed for the N64 or PS1. Probably not, though. But one can dream.
No. Minecraft has way too many memory leaks, and therefore uses way too much memory.
His pack is still a WIP. He does plan on adding more to the skies, like distant, small nebula. And OptiFine doesn't include the skybox? [editline]3rd September 2012[/editline] Also, he builds some pretty amazing shit, too.

So, I start a new world using TobiwanK3nobi's texture pack, Inspiration. Naturally, I name the world and give it the seed Inspiration to reflect this. Where does it land me? Right fuckin' here. TOBIAAAAAAAAAAHHHH
No. Minecraft has way too many memory leaks, and therefore uses way too much memory.
That's why I said simplified. :v: Like something closer to this. Of course in retrospect Notch's coding would probably shit all over the N64 anyway.
Fun fact; On the dawn of a solar eclipse you will see two suns (one that is covered by the moon and one that is setting)
So, an hour or so later, here we are! I've got my little tree farm set up as well as a cliffside home! In the morning light it looks... a little bit threatening, but I assure you it's very cozy indoors. Speaking of which, here's a shot from inside! I kind of ran out of room for places to store my junk and ~~MAD LOOTZ~~, so I made a little balcony with a few chests on it to compensate for lost space. Fun times!
I know there was talk of this a looong time ago, but I still would like some sort of Terraria-like event where a full moon/red moon/blue moon/random night event would spawn unique/tougher/more mobs or something. I would love to have a random night where huge amounts of zombies or a well-armoured enchanted undead army just tries to slaughter you. Sieges aren't really all that special or impressive, and all I had to do to fend one off is go to bed. I think with all the awesome RPG-like elements they've been adding, they could afford to add some more features along these lines. Also, more stuff like dungeons would be cool. I always like dungeons, but they're never a challenge and the loot is poor. It's cool that they added temples now, but a temple doesn't provide much of a challenge either. I'd like to see a challenging something with some actual rare/unique loot.
Pigmen should be in semi-rarely occuring Nether villages. It'd be similar to overworld villages except the Zombie Pigmen would be attacking instead, and it'd be almost constant but they'd have better defences too - they'd fight back (and this includes against you), and they'd have a somewhat-poorly-built wall around their village (so that zombie pigmen could eventually find a way in, but it'd prevent hordes from running in constantly. Or something like that. Rather than trading with them, you could ally with them. Help slay zombie pigmen while inside the wall around the village and it'll make them all like you more, while hitting them would make them dislike you more. On a positive scale, they'll start rarely dropping items for you as you continue to help them fight back - swords, armour, or items like glowstone or the bottle o' enchanting similar to trading in the overworld but much more active. On a negative scale, they'd start attacking you just like the zombie pigs, but that doesn't mean the zombie pigs will start liking you. This adds a small leeway to attacking them accidentally, unlike zombie pigs - if you're helping to fight off zombie pigs, you can afford to hit them a few times before how much they like you completely resets and they start attacking you again, but hitting them without fighting will quickly cause your swift death.
Some basic fun: [t]http://puu.sh/11TWB[/t] [t]http://puu.sh/11U33[/t] [t]http://puu.sh/11U7P[/t] [t]http://puu.sh/11U8Z[/t]
this is crazy man, like really, really crazy
Influences on that theory was Japanese-made games, notably Dark Souls and Nier; those games had some weird stuff and concepts to say the least.
You asked us three times if we could send you our minecraft's, and every time i said you should download it from whereever you are posting now
Yea, even if the place you are at would not let you download minecraft, why would they allow you to download something from say dropbox.
