Does it give you an error message at all, or does it just not work at all, plain and simple?
I always use Lapis Lazuli blocks to decorate my enchanting room, arranging them into big crystals if possible.
I like to pretend they give me magical wizard powers c:
If crystals did give power, that'd be cool. I mean, they give you Souls when you mine them, so in theory they should give power of some sort. Even if bookcases fill the niche of granting power to Enchanting Tables, it'd still be important for crystals to have some sort of power; isn't Redstone technically crystals? It's like dust, yes, but sand is essentially a lot of impure silicon dioxide crystals isn't it; thus i'd like to imagine that Redstone Ore is a brittle kind of crystal that shatters into a fine sandy powder when mined.
Speaking of sand, if it acted like a liquid, as in Terraria kind of liquid and not the physics-breaking liquids of Minecraft, that'd be pretty cool.

Anyways TechnicLauncher worked for me. Went into a village and found some wierd things, artifacts or someshit in the blacksmith chest. Is this exceptional thing the best? Found some strange book.

yeah, pretty dissapointed this wasn't thought to be added in by now, but still, progress on making pigs ridable is still good :3 If they can get them to jump with space I really would consider pigs a valid form of transportation.

A wither skeleton, gives you the wither effect when it hits you.

I can see the wither boss being used for mining by LPers like Etho as it doesn't destroy the blocks it breaks unlike tnt (it detroys blocks when it's hurt)
I wish you could get villager heads, i'd arrive at a village at the dead of night with my inventory full of them, put them on fences surrounding the town and scare the shit out of the inhabitants. If only.

Those are Thaumcraft 2 artifacts for researching,save them for later and go look up how researching works,it allows you to unlock all the higher-level stuff in TC2
The Wither can actually be an excellent tool of war.
If you could sneak into the enemy base and summon it, it would have an devastating effect.
-It would target all living things, so farms and people would be obliterated.
-It's hard to kill, you can't just do it with a bow and arrow (When it's on half life the Wither gets a shield around itself, so only melee can hurt it.)
-They probably would not be prepared for it.
Does anyone else really not like the beacon block? It just seems useless for the amount of material needed to build it. It has maybe a 50 block range from wherever you built it, with the cost of upwards from 9 blocks (81 of whatever material you're building it from + 1 to activate the buff).
